"Hotel is good but rooms are too dark. They need to use stronger lights!!" - Anonymous
"I found the Hudson Hotel a great place to stay if you were to spend time in Edinburgh. Its location is perfectly situated off princess street and is only a few steps away from all amenities. The rooms were comfortable and the bathroom has very good facilities. The bar is top notch and the staff are friendly and always close at hand when you need something whether it a drink from the bar or something to eat from the kitchen which has great grub." - Seamus Ryan
"We were disappointed in the menu selections and quality of food offered. Portions were too large, especially chips. More choice, better nutrition and taste quality would have been appreciated." - Anonymous
"Fabulous location and nice staff, along with a great bar / restaurant. It had some key negatives however - particularly for a hotel that's not particularly cheap. The lack of airconditioning was a nightmare - it wasn't even warm in Edinburgh but the rooms were very hot and stuffy. The plug in fan provided was so noisy it was impossible to use overnight. SEcond negative was the bed - when booking a queen bed in a Club standard room that's what you should receive - not two single beds pushed together that don't even match up well. It was very uncomfortable and not right for a hotel in this price range. Also, getting laundry done takes two days - far cheaper places can turn it around on the same day. Overall, the hotel needs to improve on some of the basics that are required in this price range and star rating." - Sinead McAlary
