Getting there:
Turn right from Chiang Rai Airport, Phahonyothin Road (30 km.) to Mae Chan, turn right again (highway #1016), 30 km. to Chiang Saen. Arrive Chiang Saen, now turn left take highway #1290, 7 km. along “Khong” river to ‘Imperial Golden Triangle Resort’ at Baan Sop Ruak.

Service was impeccable Minor improvements are 1. Free Internet, even if only for 20 mins as moy hotels do provide this 2. The toilet very loud when flushed, needs improvement 3. More double beds as western couples expect this on their holidays 4. We didnt know how far it would be from Chiang Rai and could not contact the hotel directly but ony through a booking service. We should be able to have both options

An absolutely super hotel in a beautiful and interesting area. Extreemly efficient and friendly staff,spotlessly clean and everything working! Beds very comfortable and complimentry tea ,coffee and bottled water in the room. Grounds immaculate,and sited in a great location ,peaceful with great views over the Mekong river into Myanmar and Laos. Restuarant was excellent,good range of local and international dishes. I really can't fault this hotel.Incredible value for money.Would recommend to anyone wanting to explore this lovely area of Thailand.

Impressiver view over the golden triangle. Staff at the buffet was not very fluent in english and not really trying to do their best.
