"The Lakes is out of the city centre, requiring a Bus journey to get into Cairns ( 10 minutes). The apartment was clean and spacious, with an open plan dining/living area. The four pools were excellent and the BBQ's were well maintained and easy to use. Food at the reception was expensive and limited." - Anonymous


"The Lakes is about 35 minutes walk from town, its an easy walk but a bit far. The shuttle bus costs $7. Other than location and the fact the some rooms are 3 floors up with NO LIFTS its great!" - Anonymous


"Facilities were very good from tennis court to pool(s) to gym and bocci, had a self contained 2 bed..the only down side was the noise from the main pool area and the walls didnt seem that thick either. A little far out from town for some maybe but the walk was fine for us in the perfect weather; bus service from the main road excellent so no real drama getting to town centre or DFO.
