Hotel description:

The Legacy Rose and Crown Hotel is a 13th Century former Coaching Inn set on the banks of the River Avon overlooking the famous water meadows and Salisbury Cathedral (just a 5 minute walk away). The 28 bedrooms vary between oak beamed and mullion windowed rooms in the original building and more modern, spacious rooms in the Garden wing. Stonehenge is about 30 minutes away and the New Forest around 25 minutes.

Getting there:

From the M3, take junction 8 (A303) and head into Salisbury city centre. Get onto the ring road and at New Bridge Roundabout take the 2nd exit (St Nicholas Road). Go across the small bridge and take the first right into Harnham Road. By train, there are regular direct services with South West Trains from London Waterloo. A taxi from the train station will cost about £5.
