3-7 Stamford Street London SE1 9NY
Behind this typical nineteenth century London facade is an up-to-date hotel, with every modern facility in its 30 large comfortable bedrooms. It's close to one of the oldest parts of London, the 'Borough', well known to Shakespeare and Dickens. The Mad Hatter is perfectly placed if you have business in the City of London, a half-mile taxi ride takes you straight into the City. For the leisure traveller there's a lot more to see and do closer to hand. Tate Modern, London's new world-class museum of modern art is a few minutes away. Beyond it is Shakespeare's Globe theatre, the National Theatre, the Royal Festival Hall and the Hayward Gallery and, of course, the London Eye. Covent Garden and the Strand are only about a mile away and Oxford Street, Regent Street and Soho half a mile or so further on. The Fuller's Ale & Pie House on the ground floor of the Mad Hatter is a welcoming London pub, and an ideal place to meet and greet friends or colleagues for lunch, an informal evening meal, or just a drink. The food's home-cooked, the drinks are Fuller's, what more could you ask?

Excellent location, surprisingly quiet considering that it is close to the main road. Great breakfast, very helpful staff.
Your otherwise fantastic hotel would benefit from having airconditioning installed in the bedrooms. OK - it's not your responsibility that London was extremely hot this weekend, but still!

Very much enjoyed the stay and would stay again. The people were lovely and helpful (we got stranded for an additional night due to the ash cloud and they were extremely helpful), the rooms were large for UK standards and very clean, and the pub on the main floor was fabulous, and the food very good. The breakfast was great as well - huge and tasty. I plan on staying there the next time I am in London.
This is a small modern hotel in a great location - almost within direct sight of St Pauls. The staff were very helpful, the pub on the ground floor was cosy and spotless. It is a great place for a weekend stay.
Excellent hotel should you need to be in the South Bank area. Receptionist couldn't have been more helpful, 6 x real ales on sale(!), food good, room good. Just avoid the grumpy night porter who seemed to think it wasn't his job to do anything and you'll love it.
enjyed our stay.simple accomadation in an excellent location..very pleasant and helpful staff.would definately stay there again
A truly great place to stay in London, close train station, great food, great Guinness would highly recommend to anybody
Lovely "countryside" inn at good location on the South Bank of River Thames. Very friendly service, excellent breakfast, delicious Fuller´s ales. A computer with a printer would be nice, we were a little desperate to find an internet cafe with a printing facility to be able to do our web check-in with Ryanair.
Nice less expensive option, nice pub/restaurant, sort of convenient to Waterloo and other central London locations
