This hotel is at a quiet location a bit away from the main city centre but within close walking distance. The room was large and the bathroom was very nice (particularly the large bath tub). The receptionist when we were checking in was the only downside of our stay as she wouldn't let us check in until 2pm even though our booking said 1 pm.
Excellent property so close to the city and many eating hotspots. Staff are so friendly & the room was super clean and quiet.
We stayed overnight in Adelaide to attend a dinner at the Adelaide Club which is a comfortable walk away. We were a little concerned with parking arrangements as we had a lot of luggage and parking was in a public car park and security an issue. In the event worked out alright as everything in tact when we picked up the car next day. Overal a good place to stay.
The Majestic is a hotel that lived up to it's multi-awarded status. Having stayed in numerous places across Australia, The Majestic has one of the better customer services I have experienced. The room we stayed on the 6th floor was nicely furnished with a comfortable King bed and couch alongside the usual hotel room fittings. What really won my partner and I over though was the location. We were literally a stone's throw away from Rundle Street Mall which is a hub of restaurants, cafe's and shopping retailers. The minibar had all the usual fare and also included a plunger for coffee (ground coffee was available in the minibar). The bathroom was roomy compared to some hotels, and was spotlessly cleaned daily (better toilet paper brand is a bit lack-lustre). Bath robes are available by calling reception. Price-wise, it was similar to other offers in the city. All in all, I would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Adelaide. Well done to all, we will be back!
Good location; close to a great variety of restaurants on Rundle Street; only two block from Rundle Mall. Well maintained facilities, but disappointed in business facilities. Two computers in the open area of the foyer constitute the "business centre". The cost of using these and the cost of the internet connection in the rooms would make me consider alternatives if travelling again for business.
Excellent service, very friendly, minimal red tape. Excellent restaurant
I loved this hotel. It has great central location in Adelaide and to Rundle street. The restaurant has great food. Service could be a bit more friendly. Overall a very pleasant stay and I would stay there again.
This hotel has location, location, location! Close to vibrant Rundle Street with its great atmosphere, shops, restaurants etc, it could not be more conveniently sited. The staff are always pleasant and obliging and the rooms are well appointed. I prefer the ones with the small balcony - for some fresh air. Prices vary but member dollars can help!
We had a problem with the car parking which was promptly and politely sorted by staff who genuinely listened. Great place to stay
A great hotel. Well positioned, well appointed rooms, quiet atmosphere, good firm bed. Good sized bathroom with shower and seperate bath in Deluxe King room. Sound proofing of rooms effective from street traffic and hallway and the late check out is a bonus. It is not cheap. Please dont put the rates up. We want to come back!
This was a brilliant hotel, very quiet even though the heart of the city. Very friendly helpful staff. Beautiful room, great location- Perfect
I was given a first floor room. The room was standard, wasn't really elaborately furnished or decorated - just standard black and white. Bathroom was nice. I wasn't told checkout time on arrival, so assumed it was midday and was surprised when I later asked and was told it was 11am. Not impressed that a seemingly modern hotel like this did not have wifi, not even wifi you had to pay for! Location was good, just off Rundle St.
Comfortable, largish room. No traffic noise even though I was in a room facing Frome Street. Had a good sleep. Shower worked well while lighting in room and bathroom was excellent. Plasma television good. Hotel is a 12 to 15 minute walk from Adelaide railway station or Glenelg tram but that is acceptable. Would stay again provided price under A$150.
Checking in and out was fast, friendly and efficient. The Majestic is very centrally located, everything was in walking distance. I am a bit of a customer service nazi so I really take notice of these things. I will stay at the majestic if I ever have to visit Adelaide again and have already recommended it to family and friends. Love it, love it, love it!!!!!
This hotel is wonderfully located in a vibrant, interesting area of the city close to shops, a range of dining experiences, cinemas and other attractions. But on this occasion for me the price was off the planet even bearing in mind that I made a late booking when a major event was on in town. I have stayed there previously so I know that the room I was allocated was pretty much standard - comfortable (noisy air conditioning) but I have previously stayed in an identical room at the same hotel for a fraction of the cost. Breakfast was not even included in the price, nor was I informed on check in that newspapers are available for free room delivery and a second card to maintain electricity while out was not offered. Just these small touches would have been nice. The breakfasts in the dining area are ordinary and requested coffee did not arrive. Staff are always pleasant and helpful however - and cheaper rooms are available at 'ordinary' times.
A great hotel in the heart of the city. Rooms are large, clean and modern, with all we needed for our stay. Large bathroom, love the large bathtub! Staff were very helpful and accommodating - some of the best hotel staff we have seen. Enjoyed a lovely breakfast in the restaurant, however Rundle Street is on your doorstep, so multiple restaurants are at hand. One of the best hotels we have stayed at, and we will definitely return!
great but on the sixth floor you can here the people on the running machines, and early in the morning is not very nice
Great, newish hotel with comfortable, spacious rooms.
