The Menzies Sydney Hotel

Had a great time, will definitely stay at The Menzies again, staff were great, piano bar was great, close to where we needed to go, really great time.

It's hard to beat this location. The Wynyard train station and market is across the street. George street is 1 block East. Ciccular Quay and the Rocks are only 4 to 5 blocks North..

My Family and I enjoyed our stay at the Menzies. The service was fantastic and the rooms were very comfortable. Walking distance to Darling Harbour.

The hotel is not four star quality. It is very dated but the rooms are clean. Personally I would have rather spent a little more and stayed somewhere more modern. It is a tired hotel and overpriced for its level of quality. The location is convenient.

The staff couldn't do enough for us. Its central to everything!! It was just all to easy !

Everything is as you would expect, nothing more and nothing less. The rooms are clean and tidy with everything you need, incl. an iron & decent ironing board and a comfy bed. We stayed in a central room on the second floor so there was zero traffic noise. Right at the train station - I don't think accomodation comes any more conveniently located than this!

King Room was very good although air-con not adjustable! Excellent service from Concierge & staff, nice brekky! Perfect location.

Friendly,helpful staff right from entering the front door, to the booking desk and housekeeping. Nothing was too much effort. Price wise I was very pleased overall with our stay. The central position to the train station, Circular Quay, Darling Harbour and the city centre would be hard to beat. Well done Menzies staff.

We had a great stay. Staff were very friendly. Room was spotless. Very quiet. Good location for everything in the city. I'll be back!!

Very good hotel in the heart of the city. Easy walking to distance to circular quay, darling harbour, city shopping. Bus interchange and Wynyard station across the road.

Excellent service. I felt really welcome from the start. Both the staff at the reception and the front door were extremely friendly and helpful. Everything worked really well. The location just next to Wynyard station is great. The front bar with a free 30 min internet connection was a bonus, as I had already checked out but had to check out my emals. This worked well.

Once again we enjoyed our visit to the Menzies. The hotel is in a great spot and as usual the vist was enjoyable.

Price was very good. Hotel is older but still needs some attention. Room was adequate. Restaurant was very good meal was nice. Parking was pricey at $45 for a carpark.

Excellent location for what we wanted. So easy with the train to/from the airport.

The location was excellent and right in the heart of town. Unfortunately I wouldn't pay more than what we did (approx $150/night - special rate) and the "little things" let the hotel down. Eg, lack of, or no towels in the pool area, lack of "pins" for the exercise machines in the gym, tv too small in the standard room, had to ask for more towels in our room (2 towels, 4 occupants), poor pillow quality. Nonetheless, staff and service was very good.

The location is the best 4 star Hotel in the Sydney CBD. Magniificent, close to everything. The Lobby is impressive, for greetings/meetings, 5 Star. The decor of the Parkside, their main restaurant, is definitely worth a view, polished wood panelling, a priveledged scene out of an Agatha Christie movie. The leather lounges throughout the Lobby, first and second floor Function areas relect the opulence of a superior English Club. The accommodation rooms are utilitarian, the bathrooms, minute. minimalist, but clean and adequate. The lifts are prompt and capacious. Most of all, the location - to everyting - is just the best of the best.

Excellent location to city centre and access to the rocks area via short walk. Parking was a breeze and at a 24hr rate which enables you to continue exploring the city after check-out. Would stay again.
