The Panoly Resort Hotel Boracay

"Excellent staff! Hard working and courteous. Excellent restaurant and pool. Beautiful private beach. No hot water in the main hotel building and the room during the entire 5 day stay...very surprising and troubling that this problem could not be immediately addressed for all the guests there. Property is starting to show its age and could use some updating but still very comfortable and clean. Constant problem trying to pay with or break 500 and 1000 peso notes since restaurant and the front desk never seemed to have any change available. Location is great for privacy and very beautiful but a terrible road leading into the property and limited shuttle service to the main beach (White Beach) are definite drawbacks. Great for seclusion for couples seeking a romantic setting off the busy main beach. " - Larry Miller

"The Panoly staff requires further training. Giving that the resort is rated 5 stars, the staff are unable to communicate successfully with clients staying as they speak close to no english. I was not impressed by the location as well. They provide complimentary transfers to the main beach but only run twice a day. Twice to go and twice to be picked up. They do not provide any pick up service after 6pm. In this case you will have to pay close to $15 US to be ale to get home if you decide that you want to stay at the main beach to dine or to experience the night life. I am certain that from my experence. I proably will not b staying at the Panoly again or would i recommend it to anyone else." - Anonymous

"This property is currently poor value for money. At time of visit, the main administrative building (including one restaurant) was being rebuilt after a fire. This combined with low occupancy meant there were very limited dining options. Most guests during our stay chose to spend most time outside the resort which reflected the quality of what was available. Definately not 5 star as reported on site." - Anonymous

"It would be a very nice place to stay if not for the following reasons: 1) Facilities was not available but i was not inform. 2) Lots of road work along the way to resort especially the rocky steep slope jus before reaching the resort making it an uncomfortable journey . 3) Better arrangements for transport from jetty to resort could have ease the problem but i have to find my way there myself. 4) Choices for proper meal was not available also.
