Overall hotel was nice. Staff was friendly and helpful. Location was good close to malls and some resturants, but most of my taxi drivers had trouble finding it. Still nice hotel for the price.
Facilities are a bit old. shower is basic minimum but all is working. good bed, good split aircon, and whatever is not working well, engineering services are fast. service from guard to staff is great and friendly. buffet breakfast is ok.
Superior Rooms are 25 sqm with city views. They are fitted with a double bed or 2 single beds.
Junior Suites are 40 sqm. They are fitted with one King size bed. Non-smoking rooms available.
The hotel lobby is on the 9th floor the rooms on the floors above, the wait for the lift can take 5 or more minutes if busy. The room needs refurbished, the carpet was stained and looked unclean and worn. The bathroom needs refurbished, toilet bowl was cracked, the vanity unit needs new grouting. Bad lighting the room is dark. No opening windows. Not in the best area for sight seeing or nightlife. On the good side, free wifi in the lobby/bar area, swimming pool, good breakfast and food in general. Wonderful smiling helpful staff. The hotel was ok but I moved hotels closer to restaurants/nightlife.
very nice friendly staff......lift/elevator girls are polite and well spoken. Only odd thing is reception is on the 9th floor. wifi a bit erratic and not very good in hotel room i stayed in on 10th floor. Otherwise no complaints would stay there again.
There are accommodating in some ways. Staffs are friendly.
We had a pleasant stay at the hotel, staff are nice and friendly. But it would be better if coffee making facilities are provided in the room and the lighting made more brighter for reading.
The staff is friendly and helpful and the central location good. The breakfast buffet is mediocre but acceptable. Drawbacks of the hotel are the awful noise from Taft Avenue, if you happen to get a room facing that direction (left side rooms of the hallway) and that the hotel is very old. Fixtures are worn out, some lights do not work, the TV picture is very fuzzy and so on. It was a great hotel 20 years ago but has not kept up repairs and renovations. Junior suites have two rooms but the old carpets and worn out fixtures do not make it look like a junior suite.
When I checked in I found that the junior suite provided was not satisfactory. I complained. The suite was changed. They werer friendly and did not make a fuss. The new suite was good. I recommend the Pearl for anyone wanting to do business in that area and it is close to entertainment and many social activities and goiod restaurants. If you are expecting 5 star accommodation you will be disappointed. If you are realistic and want a clean and good suite at a competitive price you will be very satisfied.
For 1st timer to Manila, this hotel given the tourist the opportunity to expose this city with it's location. Only disadvantage is during the night whereby the street is reticent (cross-junction between Taft and UN Avenue) and filled with homeless people around the 24 hours Mc Donald.
I just dont know why they have an operator for the elevator.
Outstanding service. The staff is to be commended!
The hotel staff were incredibly friendly, courteous, and helpful. I plan on staying at this hotel again on my next visit.
Reception is on the 9th floor of this Hotel. During my stay, there was only 1 lift in operation, continually travelling from the Ground floor to the top and back again,so, sometimes, quite a wait. Check in isn't until 2 pm, although I was given my room on arrival which was 12 noon-so good points there. Don't waste your time on the comp. breakfast. I arrived at 9:30 for mine only to find the pickings were very slim. I enquired if the fresh fruit could be replenished as there were only 3 pieces of mango left, only to be told 'finish those first', the fruit never came back once I had finished. Great Location, good views from the pool too which is just off reception.
Outside of the Makati business district, this is good value for money. Pleasant staff, clean pool, free wifi. 400m to Rizal Park. Better than basic, but nothing overly flash. Never paid more than 100 pesos for a taxi to Mall of Asia, Makati.
This is a very good hotel located right next to metro (skytrain), and the price/quality ratio is much more favorable compared with other hotels in this area. very nice and clean view with great view. For the price I paid (about 50 USD) it is impossible to find anything better in this location. Taxi to the airport is less than 30 minutes, about 180-200 pesos.
There were 3 lifts I observed at the hotel, 2 at the lobby and one service lift. Only 1 lift was being used during the 4 days I was there. The daily breakfast buffet was value for money though, but I feel there should be more fruit choices.
Good hotel in bad location. Near Intramouros and Robinsson shoping mall but nothing more. Have nice little swimming pool which is open till 9pm Breakfast simple, but worked for me as i like Continental for BF. The have slipper for you to ware., it took only 2 days to break one. The reception is on the 9th floor and rooms on 10th upper. What i ddnt like was that poor girl who sitt in the lift for 8 hours a day following every guest upp and down. Why not move reception to ground floor ? One more thing which i think is odd. When i was checking out, they request me to wait untill they check the room. I thought they will check the minibar, BUT no. They checked if the towels. For my bad luck, one towel was missing because they ddnt replace it the day befor. The reception was kind enough to just let me sign a piece of papper and let me go. Generaly nice hotel but in bad location. In Ermita which is suburb to Malate. Thanx for nice stay att your hotel.
the hotel starts on the 9th floor, the staff are very helpful but do take time to clean the room. the breakfast wasn't anything to write home about. the swimming pool was nice cold. it wouldn't be place to go and relax but as a working hotel it does its job.
I'm a korean-tourrist. I stayed at Pearl Manila Hotel during 2 days. good service but bad lacation.
A well located relatively clean and comfortable hotel. Buffet breakfast was good. In terms of value for money the hotel is hard to beat, but don't expect perfection - the sink may well have a chip in it!
