"On checking in we found the elderly gentleman on Reception to be indifferent, curt and totally unwelcoming. The room itself was well furnished but a screen supposed to be in place to separate the bed area from the little living area had been removed and we were not warned or apologised to for this. Curtains were shabby and very marked with holes. The kitchen area was good and well equipped but kitchen was poorly supplied with coffee/tea/sugar/milk and the bathroom similarly poorly supplied with toiletries and a distinctly small amount of towels; a tiny amount of toilet paper with no spare roll. There was no daily service which was expected with this booking. The Point itself is in a good location, opposite beach; nice pool and spa - little mini golf course and also a table tennis (with no eqipment to play. I would recommend the Hotel, but with some reservation." - Anonymous

Bargara Beach is located on the Coral Coast at the southern tip of the Great Barrier Reef and offers extensive local amenities including an 18 hole championship golf course and the extensively landscaped foreshore offering shaded seating, pagodas and barbeques. The township of Bargara offers many restaurants, cafes and a large Bistro and Hotel complex with alfresco dining.

It is possible to spot migrating whales from the ocean facing balconies and just to the north there is the world famous Mon Repos Turtle Rookery where turtles come every year to lay thousands of eggs on the protected coastline. The reefs off Bargara Beach on the southern fringe of the Great Barrier Reef are rated in Australia's top ten shore diving sites and provide endless opportunities for snorkeling and diving enthusiasts.

Getting there:

Follow the Bargara signs from Bundaberg. Once at the beach, turn right and turn left at the next roundabout into The Esplanade. You will see "The Point" Resort a short distance on the right.

PLEASE CALL DIRECT TO ARRANGE KEY PICK UP IF ARRIVING AFTER 1730- 5.30PM MID WEEK OR 1530 -3.30PM WEEKENDS & PUBLIC HOLIDAYS. Office hours-8.30am to 5.30pm mid week & 9.00am to 2.30pm weekends & public holidays.
