Environmental Award Winning Lodge. Closest 5 star accommodation to the Abel Tasman National Park. The Resurgence is ideal for couples who love nature, the outdoors & gourmet food & wine. In a wilderness setting alive with birdsong, yet only 15 minutes from the start of the Abel Tasman track.
The four luxurious Lodge Rooms all have en-suites and private balconies with great views over the Kahurangi Wilderness.
The Bush Chalets and Bush Lodges are built of native timbers and separate from the main Lodge building - ideal for honeymoons or longer stays for guests seeking total seclusion.
Our 4-course French-Mediterranean inspired menu uses fresh local produce from the bountiful Tasman district. Our wine list features Nelson wines selected to match our menus. AS ALL OUR FOOD IS FRESHLY PREPARED, PLEASE LET US KNOW IF YOU HAVE ANY SPECIAL DIETRY REQUIREMENTS - vegetarian, gluten free or common foods you dislike. Aperitifs are served at 7pm, dinner (served 'lodge-style' or at romantic tables) follows at around 7:30pm.
Our passion is the outdoors and we work with selected local operators to tailor "five star nature" short breaks for our guests; kayaking to a secluded bay in the Abel Tasman, climbing Mount Arthur with its unique flora, a scenic flight to Farewell Spit or bird-watching.
For the less active, try a "gourmet or pamper package" featuring wine tasting or a therapeutic massage.

| Getting there: |
Directions from Nelson Airport: follow SH6 towards Richmond/Takaka/Collingwood. Keep straight-ahead bypassing Richmond town centre and turn right on SH60, the Appleby Highway, towards Motueka/Takaka/Collingwood. Pass through Motueka and then the small township of Riwaka and onwards past the two turnings on the right going to Abel Tasman National Park (Kaiteriteri & Marahau). After a further 2km, at the foot of the Takaka Hill, take the small turning on the left down Riwaka Valley Road (sign-posted with a blue bed LODGE sign and a brown sign to Riwaka Resurgence & Kahurangi National Park). Follow this road straight-ahead (north branch) for 5.7kms until you see the sign for the lodge on the right (just after a deer farm and then the road narrows sign).

Please include your email address when making your booking so that we can send you a list of activities to help you plan your stay with us. Also, if you are dining at the Lodge, please mention any common foods you dislike to help us plan a menu to suit. We request that you try to arrive between 4 - 6 pm to allow time for us to check you in and show you round before dinner service starts at 7pm.
