Great value for money
Good hotel right in the centre of the city. May not be as posh as it looks in the picture but you get what you pay for. Very satisfied with my stay. Great value for money
Double room with ensuite facilities. Free Wi-Fi access throughout the Hotel.
Twin bedded room with ensuite facilities. Free WiFi access throughout the Hotel.
Overall hotel a bit tired but service and location very good. Restaurant choice limited but food and service are good.
The hotel staff were very friendly & efficient. Will definately stay here again.
The hotel was very central so location was good. Staff/service was good. The swimming pool was in a very poor state of repair and in desperate need of an overhaul. The bedroom was clean but there were a few damp patches on the ceiling.
Various things in the room were absent i.e.a light bulb, coffee and milk and a bath towel but were supplied quickly on request. The breakfast was very disapointing. At £9 each one does not expect to have to queue at a toasting machine and the choices of food were very poor.
The staff were most helpful and seemed genuinely caring which is a very refreshing change! - reception dealt with all requests with great efficiency and a positive attitude, for which many thanks! The food was consistently good although restaurant service seemed a little quirky - also the coffee should really be made with real coffee these days and there should be someone with some knowledge of wines! The leisure centre was a big disappointment - the pool was one of my reasons for booking in the first place, but was very small and slippery stairs down presented a considerable safety risk! However, the hotel atmosphere made up for this - it was comfortable, relaxing and made for a very pleasant and enjoyable stay. Also the position of the hotel is perfect for a city break and Hull was well worth a visit! My only regret was that my bedroom was situated above the function rooms on a Friday night - very noisy until quite late, with a long drive home next day!
The hotel itself has lots of character. Whilst my bed was clean and very comfortable, the bathroom was a little tatty and the shower was faulty.
Good location and prices are very reasonable but the quality of rooms is variable. Most are average size but newer ones are much better. Dinner is unadventurous but there are few alternatives in the centre of Hull. Breakfast is below average. Only tinned tomatoes and little choice elsewhere.
Arriving by train the location of this hotel could not be bettered.
At £51 a night this cannot be sniffed at. The gym is a nice little bonus with the leisure facilities. Didn't eat dinner, but breakfast was 10/10.
Very pleasant and helpful staff.
Comfortable, clean and quiet
This hotel is very cheap and was a surprisingly good stay. NO internet access.
Quite disappointed that the kettle in the room was not working. Bed very comfy although room felt a little cold. Excellent breakfast available.
Lovely staff. Rooms a bit small.
This hotel offers excellent value for money. All the facilities were very good and the standard of cleanliness throughout could not be faulted. The room was of a good size, comfortable and lovely fluffy towels. All the staff were pleasant and helpful. Free car parking in a city centre is a definite plus point. Only one slight quibble - breakfast tea and coffee was served by the cup by a single waitress who was struggling to keep up with demand.
