My recent stay at the Royal Park Hotel in London was first-rate in every way. Convenient, friendly staff, beautiful property! Highly recommended!
Enjoyable experience with a couple of niggles. Daughters breakfast took two telephone calls to arrive on second day despite putting the order out the night before, but did give it free. No powerpoints near any mirrors so very difficult to dry hair properly. No tea of coffee making apparatus in the rooms.
Very helpful staff with good service without being to pushy. I recommend the peppermint tea!
Very cozy and English. Nice staff and romantic rooms. Feels like coming to someones private house. In a good way!
The hotel is very well located. Near Paddington Station and within walking distance to almost all of the attractions that London has to offer. We walked everywhere, from Nottinghill to the West End and down to the Thames. We arrived very early after an 11 hour flight from Johannesburg to find that our booking had not appeared on the hotel's booking system. Furthermore, the hotel was under renovation. After much consternation the staff bundled us off to a room under the staircase and next to the hotel's public toilet facilities. Needless to say we were not happy. After inquiring about our room and directing the staff to their web page, which detailed the kind of room we had booked, we were met with a less than enthusiastic response from a rather priggish staff member. We have booked the same hotel for our return to London after 3 weeks in Europe. Here's hoping they will redeem themselves !
Location is fantastic. Short walk to Paddington Station and Lancaster Gate tube stations. Staff friendly and helpful. In our first room the aircondtioning was not working but we were quickly moved and they also provided us with with free continental breakfasts for our trouble. Would definately stay here again.
A very cosy and comfortable hotel. Beautiful four poster bed, and breakfast is brought to the room!
I really love this hotel. I like the location - just a few minutes' walk from Paddington Station and the Heathrow Express, lots of shops and places to eat in the vicinity and very well served by public transport (tube, bus). The rooms are clean, comfortable and quiet and, I like the fact that breakfast is brought to your room at the time of your own choosing - which appeals to me more than having to seek out a busy breakfast room. On the minus side, there is only one minor drawback - no kettle/tea, coffee in the room. If this latter point was rectified I wouldn't have any complaints at all. The hotel is a bit on the pricey side, but I'm willing to pay it for all that I've just mentioned.
A beautiful, intimate experience. Quite one of the best hotels I've stayed in. Roaring log fires aswell - perfect - and a short hop to Hyde Park. Thoroughly recommend this.
Welcoming; good meeting facilities; well priced
Very welcoming. Good quiet room but in basement
We would highly recommend the Royal Park, beautiful room and en-suite and a perfect location, just around the corner from Paddington Station but a really quiet spot. Would definitely stay there again. The only criticism would be the lack of tea-making facilities in the room.
it is a very charming hotel, quite nicely located between Paddington station and Hyde Park. the team is very agreable and provides very good advices.
