Getting there:The Stuart Hotel is superbly situated on the A6 on London Road close to the city centre and Derby mainline railway with easy links to the M1 motorway. The Hotel is ideally located for the leisure traveller on the edge of the Peak district close to Alton Towers and the American Adventure Theme Park. Derbyshire’s mainline stations are well serviced from most UK cities and there are three international airports around the county Birmingham, Manchester and East Midlands.

Clean rooms, excellent service, perfectly placed- very close to town centre but still sufficient distance away from hustle and bustle of the town at night. friendly staff. found the breakfasst expensive at 8 pounds per person.Would visit gain if need be
Close to Derby city centre
Rooms very small even though it was supposed to be a Double Executive suite. Heating on a timer, room very hot, windows wouldn't open. Air conditioning only ok. 1 small (15ml) bottle of shower gel for two people, tea & coffee making facilies in room but again very mean with the coffee and milk. Restaurant and Bar lacking in atmosphere. Food nice but portions small. One of waiters very young and was quite obviously not very well trained.
My single room was a little small, but apart from that I enjoyed staying there.
Great hotel, stayed before, only problem was internet wasnt working in my room, but management did everything they could to get it working, and refunded me the costs. They would have changed rooms, but hotel was full when I stayed, so overall a great experience.
Very modern & clean - approx. 600 yds from Derby Midland train station. Room on the small side, but made up for with impressive en-suite. Restaurant comfortable - food good.
The overall impression is of a modern, clean, sophisticated premises with friendly, efficient staff.
The evening meal and breakfast were real value for money they were cooked fresh and the plates even came piping hot the service was great.
