The Tawana Bangkok Hotel

I have stayed in Tawana for at least a dozen times since I first tried it out in 2010. Very happy with the location, staff attentiveness to requests and room size. The King Size bed in the Superior room is sufficiently big enough to sleep a family of 3. Strongly recommended for its location, pricing and amenities.

I had a hard time falling asleep because the walls were thin. I could hear people walking down the hall and doors opening and closing. The internet in the lobby is not free, they charge 70 baht per hour. They provide Bangkok Post for free. You can walk to the Metro but not to BTS.

One of the most affordable hotel in Silom area with fantastic customer services. Great Location with easy access to Patpong and BTS Saladaeng. Highly recommended for couple and family.

The hotel location is convenient near by Patpoon but still around 5-10 min walk to Sala Dang BTS. The room is clean but still old just like the whole hotel in lobby, their restaurant etc. With such hotel room rate I booked, it is still good enough for me to stay.

Good location and very friendly and helpful front counter service. it located near to Patpong, a night market open until late midnight. Easily to get taxi and all run meter, safe and cheap. Nearby within walking distance got many types of restaurant, pub, bar, massage center and many others.

patpong night bazaar right at the doorstep! major shopping centers within walking distance, BTS & MRT train stations 5min walk away. awesome. Staff extremely helpful, got all my requests right. Knowledgeable staff too who helped me get contacts for my trip to the burma border and warned me of the weather changes there now.. all in all excellent service, except for the spa.. massage was bad.. but so many massage parlours right outside the hotel that offered great massages at cheap prices..

Breakfast provided almost the same every day. Toilet drainage problem.

This hotel was great the staff were friendly in every way, even down give us an in site of the city .Making sure we knew where we were going .The food was so good in there restaurant we eat there for breakfast and dinner and was resalable priced to you can have fro English food to Thai food well worth a visit this hotel. The only thing that let them down was the tour opertor as he was only there about one hour we never got to see him so i do the tour yourself i did

Just before staying at The Tawana Bangkok, I was staying at a serviced apartment also in Suriwongse area. I was enjoying surfing the net or sending emails on the Internet for free. In Tawana, I had to pay for internet service. In the serviced apartment, there were more cable channels than there were at Tawana. The TV set at Tawana was rather old and chunky, and there was no DVD player (which I enjoyed watching DVDs in the serviced apartments). In future, I will choose to stay in serviced apartments rather than four or five star hotels simply because the range of facilities is rather limited and everything is charged for a fee.

hotel n staff very nice...near with all the shop...just walk a way you will found what you want...will stay again if i back to Bangkok...

The Tawana is a good mid range hotel for people wanting walking distance access to the sights and sounds of Patpong and other entertainment areas close by. The facilities are reasonable and while my stay was only overnight the service encountered was good. it is an ideal spot for tourists, families and business people, close to the rail system and readily accessible from the airport.

Old and old - fashioned hotel in the center of Silom, pretty close to Patpong. Rooms need renovation and breakfast needs improvement. Staff nice and hepful as everywhere in Thailand. I suggest to pick up one of the equally good hotels in the same location but much cheaper (e.g. Unico Grande).

An excellent hotel to stay in. The room was great, small and compact with good furnishings and clean pleasant smell. The location was excellent, directly over the road from the night markets and very close to the skytrain. The hotel has a free TukTuk for its guests which gets you around the local area for free. I highly recommend this hotel.

Decent enough to stay, but not near worth it's price. Switched to a nearby cheaper hotel and was much nicer, and better value for money. If you must, choose this one, but recommend look elsewhere. That said, busy staff friendly.
