We are very proud to introduce that The Waterfront Suites Bay of Islands is a new addition to the Heritage Boutique Collection. All of our Suites are self contained, making you feel right at home. Just steps away from the centre of Paihia town you can take advantage of what the Bay has to offer. The Waterfront Suites are now managing Paihia Sails. Paihia Sails is located next door to the Waterfront Suites and offer 3 Bedroom Premium Suites. All check-ins for these Suites must check in at The Waterfront Suites Reception

Getting there:The main international gateway for Bay of Islands is Auckland. For international visitors, transfer to Air New Zealand domestic flights or take a charter coach service. Transportation times ex Auckland by air - there are 3 airports Whangarei, Kerikeri and Kaitaia with Air NZ Link. Flight time from Auckland to Whangarei is 30 minutes and Kerikeri/Bay of Islands is 40 minutes. By coach ex Auckland is approx 3.5-4 hours. We strongly recommend options of hire cars from Auckland also. Self-drive is approx 3-3.5 hours north of Auckland. Please note: Property does not accept same day bookings after 5pm as check-in is from 2pm - 9pm.
Check-in Procedure:Checkin is from 2pm, checkout is by 10am. If driving, park in the layby at the front of the property and make your way to reception which is on the left of the entry driveway. Instructions for parking and check-in will then be given. Reception hours are 7.30am to 7.00pm - Late check ins after 8.00pm, are accepted if pre arranged with Management.
Car parking:Free, secure underground parking available.
Child Policy:Children free of charge if using existing bedding. $35.00 per night for extra bed.
Loved the look and feel of the hotel. All facilities excellent but could have done with a TV with a bigger screen. Contents of bar reasonably priced and loved the complimentary fudge. Would have appreciated a later check out due to special circumstances (birthday). Would definitely recommend to friends.

waterfront suites paihia is very well located and very nice in everyway except that they should be checking their rooms before giving the keys to a guest ...our room was so stinky cause some other guest must have been cooking till they left the room ...its the hotels job to atleast use a room freshner and make sure their guest look foward to entering the rooms rather than feeling its best to stay out ..we had to make them use a room freshner in order to enter the room..the staff could do with some warmth too they seem too cold.
The 2 bed apartment was a suitable size for 4 adults. The staff were very accomodating in sending a text message as to where to gain a key and a contact number should problems arise due to arriving after check in time. Lights and heaters were turned on in the apartment awaiting our arrival. Mini bar and complimentaries included. Found a couple of utensils put away straight from the dishwasher that were not washed properly and a marked bed-cover that was noticeable if you are person that turns down your bed-covers before bedtime.
There was only a little oil filled heater that really didn't heat the apartment well.

Pleasant surroundings and a good location along Marsden Road (seafront road in Paihia). Staff friendly but could be a bit more helpful.

Waterfront Suites @ Paihia was a wonderful stopover in a beautiful location. Just cross the road and you're on the coast! The staff were very attentive and helpful with everything we asked and the price was great for what you get. Only fault I could find was that it didn't have a spa. If we ever stay in Paihia again, we'll be coming back.
It was a very nice stay with excellent service. Although I would never pay their full price for the pleasure to stay.
The pool was having repairs so unable to be used. Lovely place but needs a few repairs eg. bedside lamps wouldn't work when I phoned reception they bought up 2 more they also didn"t work!! Carpet desperately needs a clean. All in all not too bad, fantastic location.

Was a fabulous place to stay, right on the water front, close to shops, cafes and ferry terminal. We went over to Russell on ferry and then went for a cruise on the Tucker Thompson boat. Was a fabulous couple of days.
