The Hotel:
The three star Western Hotel is located in the heart of Galway city just a minute walk from Eyre Square and offers the highest standard of accommodation. Among the forty rooms we have to offer are single, double, twin and family rooms, as well as a room with facilities to accommodate our wheelchair using guests.

Citypoint Apartments:
These brand new city centre apartments cater for up to 4 people per apartment and are conveniently located with Eyre Square right on your doorstep. These self-catering apartments are located above Galway's newest shopping centre- The Citypoint- providing you with unrivalled views and location.
The Bar:
The Western Bar is a warm and welcoming place, renowned for the largest open traditional Irish music sessions in Galway. There are Traditional Irish music sessions on Thursday nights from 9.30pm, a local band playing on Friday from 9.30, a live band on Saturdays from 9.30pm.
The Restaurant:
A selection of delicious dishes are available from our carvery and snack menu from 12pm-5pm and from our A La Carte evening menu between 5pm and 8pm (Sundays 12pm-5pm only)
Our meals are prepared from fresh local produce by our award winning chef.

Getting there:
By Bus or Train:
Galway’s train and bus stations are located in the city centre, just a three minute walk from The Western Hotel. On exiting the station, walk into Eyre Square. Turn right at Richardson’s pub on the corner of Eyre Square and proceed up Prospect Hill.
By Car:
As you approach Galway follow the signs for the city centre and continue towards Eyre Square. Right before you reach our hotel you will see a small set of traffic lights. The road will provide you with two options: one to turn left towards Eyre Square and another to turn right down a small street (St Bridget’s Terrace) Turn right down this street, then the next left down the Cul de Sac to our underground car-park. Please note: Underground car-park is valet parking. If there are no spaces, please leave your car keys at reception as we have a designated driver on hand should we need to move your car.
By Plane:
Galway Airport is located at Carnmore, just 8km north of the city.
Check-in Procedure:
GROUP POLICY
-The Western Hotel does not accommodate groups of 8 or more people.
- Should the group be excepted, a security deposit in the form of cash or credit card pre-authorisation for E150 per room is required on check-in. Furthermore we require a signed statement that all damages exceeding this amount will be covered by the primary booker. This deposit is refunded on departure if no damage has occurred

Child Policy:
Free stay of maximum 2 children up to the age of 11 years (including) within the room of 2 (full paying) adults.
