Elegant, Modern and the ideal location for all things Leipzig - I would certainly stay here again whether on business or vacation. The hotel is everything you see on the photo's, the facilities are great and on the whole it was just a great experience to stay here. Within walking distance is the main train station - here there is a variety of shops and restaurants (if you don't want to eat at the three restaurants at the hotel), as well as access to the trains. Five out of five from me.
Room requests were not honoured. Booked 2 rooms for 4 persons, not possible to get rooms at same floor. Reception lady (supervisor) not very helpful. Breakfast and pool very nice. Location walking distance from city centre. Hotel more orientated on business travel, top floor bar/restaurant closed during our stay.
Hotel provided excellent facilities and service. Big swimming pool and sauna were provided without extra payment and are strongly recommended. The location was good as well – just near main station and city centre.
Hotel would be considered "de-luxe" and fits that decription. Rooms and public areas are immaculate and sophisticated. Breakfast buffet seemed to offer everything you would want. I did not use the indoor pool or fitness room but spoke to woman in charge and felt it was a well-monitored facility. Easy 5 minute walk to hauptbahnhof and city center. The location really sold me and I would certainly recommend this Westin to others.
Wonderful stay with The Westin. Excellent friendly service and satff and facilities. My only criticism is the same as with all European hotels we stayed at, and not specific to Westin. Internet generally relies on T-mobile which gives a weak and unreliable service in almost every location. It's cost is quite outrageous (E18 for 24h). But this is not a problem with The Westin, which was absolutely everything a hotel could be. Well done. Would certainly go back by preference.
It was being heavily renovated when we visited, but it is still beautiful and the service is first class. However, one should pay attention that the restaurant on the 27th floor, FALCO, is extremely expensive and there is no menu in the room that would indicate that. It's almost still worth it, but if you want the 27th floor experience without the price, just go up to the bar there and sit near the window. That's definitely worth it!
