The York Suites & Residence Sydney By Swiss-Belhotel

My family and I needed an inner-city location for me to attend a course and for the family to have access to entertainment and amenities within walking distance. The hotel location was perfect, and the facilities in the room sufficient for the purpose. However, the upkeep of the furnishings was lacking, the shower dripped and the fridge was old and inefficient. Overall it was adequate and we had a good time.

Always enjoy staying here. Great location and an easy stroll to Darling Harbour Exhibition Centre

Great spot..so close to everything! Apartments a little outdated but fantastic showers! It was pretty noisy all night being so close to harbour bridge, but would be better if on a higher floor.

We were very happy, the apartment was beautiful!! Extremely clean and tidy. We were in walking distance to everything. Thankyou very much.

Parking is a little tricky but 'do able' even for a grandma who doesn't drive in Sydney all that often! My only complaint is our breakfast basket was forgotten and I had to ring and ask about it; it was delivered fairly quickly; also for the price I think some bread, butter and jams could have been provided rather than one very sweet muffin- there are excellent facilities to make toast in the suite. I would certainly stay there again and encourage my friends to as well.

We had asked for breakfast for our two days stay. This was left in the room together ( without intimating that there will be no further delivery on the 2 nd day ) on arrival but was barely sufficient for the first day !

Although we chose the York because of of its location we were surprised by the excellent facilites in the studio apartment. Maintenance could have been better, and some of the equipment, e.g. the washing machine and dryer, had reached pensionable age. That said the it was very well equipped. The only thing missing was a restaurant, not really a problem as there were several cafes/restaurants in the same building.

This hotel was just the perfect place for us ,only 5min easy walk from the station and not far from all the tourist places we wanted to see.The price suited us and will certainly stay again if we return to Sydney one day.

We stayed for 5 nights and arrived to find that we had been upgraded to a bigger unit than the studio we booked. It was very nice and well appointed. We enjoyed the balcony and the views. The unit was serviced everyday on request and a complimentary paper was there every morning. It is very quiet hotel andwas great to have our own kitchen for breakfasts. It is very central to everywhere we wanted to go and the little restaurant on the opposite corner was lovely. The Wynyard Station is very close and we arrived from the airport on the train and walked to the hotel.Very nice and we would recommend this hotel.

We enjoyed our stay at the York. The 1st room they put us in was really nice, modern,spacious, clean with flat screen TV and comfy lounge, and it had kitchen dinning etc. However the air conditioning was broken and as it was winter we needed warmth, so they moved us to another room on the next floor. It wasn't quite as good as the TV was only small and the lounge very hard, so a bit disappointing after the change. Told the man at the desk and he just said, "sorry about that!"On the whole it was a nice clean Hotel which had been refurbished. We would stay there again.

Great room on the 18th floor Always love staying here - much better than a hotel - kitchens really good and location is perfect for meetings/shopping in the city

My Stay at The York by Swiss-Belhotel was sensational!! Very Clean, very light and open and such a fabulous position. I will definately stay thee again.

This was a lovely hotel and economical for larger numbers, excellent presentation and spacious, airy rooms

Great place to stay at. 24hr assistance if needed and the place is decorated in bright but clean decor.

The room service food was average.

Really good size studio apartment. Great CBD location, close to train station. Nice pool and sauna area.

This hotel is well located - you can walk to the Rocks, the Opera House and the shopping precinct and Darling Harbour. The apartment was old but big. Lots of space. the furnishings are a bit out of date, but if you want value for money this is the place. The gym is not good at all, and the pool is shadowed by office blocks.
