Thistle Hotel Birmingham City

Stayed in a wheelchair accessible suite. It was a very good size and had about the best wheelchair accessible washroom I have every seen. The hotel is within a few blocks of good shopping and pubs. The restaurant was up a set of stairs on which the staff placed aluminium ramps. These worked, but I wouldn't want to take a power chair on them and it may be best to have someone with you as the ramps were quite long and the slope a bit steep.

The hotel is well situated for city centre about 15 mnnutes walk very clean and good service.

Nice hotel. Location is decent, very near Snow Hill train station, just at the top of the town. Staff were friendly. The room was a decent size, the bathroom included a bath and was kept clean. The heater was good and its controls functional. My room overlooked the street, so opening the window was a noisy option to cool the room. So, the negative. My room was not cleaned and ready until 3pm, strange when check-in time was 2pm... Also, the cleaners seemed to have no set plan – sometimes my room would not be cleaned until very late in the day. The Thistle Hotel is a nice hotel and reasonably located, but just a few little things let them down. But a good option for the price-range.

Service was OK, apart from some miscommunication on the first evening. Only used front desk to book a cab. Did not use restaurant or bar facilities. As for the cleaning of the room, it was OK but one day they forgot to leave a face towel and they did not replaced shower cups, gel etc... (stayed 3 nights)

I like this Hotel. Good quality for the price. Very good staff, especially receptionists.

Enjoyed our stay at the Thistle Hotel. Location very convenient for the city centre and shopping. Hotel comfortable and staff welcoming.

The room was standard and the location good. There were a few stains on the carpet of the room however the bedding and bathroom were clean.

We stayed at this hotel for one night. It was very easy to find and the directions on the hotel website were excellent. The rooms were lovely and the hotel rate which we obtained on this webiste was great value. The only complaint we would have was that the bar area was very cold. We asked that they put the heating on but they said that they would have to heat the whole floor and that it would take several hours. They did bring out some plug in heaters though.

Perfect location for the City Centre. Tried most Hagley Road Hotels and none quite right but made do in the past. Will continue to use the Thistle in future. and The xxxxxxx beats all at price for this hotel hands down.

In the city centre by St Chad's catherdral. Particularly good location if you're going to St Paul's Square & not too far from Broad Street & the main shopping areas.

We booked a double/twin room, when we arrived the bed was a very small double, more like a 3/4 size of a standard double which didnt allow for a very good nights rest.

The Reception staff were brilliant. I can't comment on the facilities as I didn't use any but had to select something.

The hotel has a very convenient location and the breakfast was very good.

on checking in this hotel very friendly staff .food a bit expensive .room exellent bathroom very clean bigroom nice touch with the toileteries .

Great hotel. Very clean, excellent service, breakfast buffet was top class. Very well located only five to ten minute walk from City Centre. i would highly recommend this hotel.

A bit tatty but very central. Well equiped rooms.
