This is a very central hotel near the laines for shopping, near beach and pier for entertainment. Staff are all very helpful and friendly, have stayed here many times and will continue to do so
Good size room but bathroom not 4* quality. Problems with electronic key not working to enter room.
All bedrooms are spacious and have air conditioning, tea & coffee making facilites, ironing boards and trouser press
Standard twin bedded room with two queen size beds. All rooms have air conditioning, tea & coffee making facilities, ironing boards and trouse press.
The Hotel is in a prefect location, lovely clean rooms, brilliant all round stay, would use again.
Superb. The room was excellent, overlooking the sea front. The view is great and we were even left a pair of binoculars in the room to watch the world go by. Some reviews mention that the hotel is dirty and in need of a revamp. Not on floor 4 at the front its not! Our room was recently redecorated and spotless. The main atrium and gym are also most impressive. We'd definitely go there again!
Very good hotel, lived up to the reputation of the Group
Although the Thistle foyet and atrium bar are extremely impressive when you walk in, the standard double rooms are in desperate need of redecoration. The room was comfortable enough with everything you could need but the chipped paintwork, streaks up the walls and very old bath and fittings made us feel like we were staying in a roadside motel, rather than a 4* hotel; therefore, not worth the money. The room overlooked the atrium, so we had to keep the curtains shut the whole time. It was hot and stuffy, and the air-conditioner although working, had to be turned off due to the incredible noise it made. Very noisy in the corridors late at night with drunken revellers returning.
Good Location very close to the Lanes. Nice bedroom, maybe a little warm but large and clean. Good facilities. Did not have breakfast, so unable to comment.
Excellently located, overlooking the sea at the front and the lanes at the rear with shops, restuarants and bars litterally a few steps away. The room was lovely with a super kingsize bed. The only niggles are regarding the bed - the sheet and duvet were for a kingsize bed, so the sheet was not able to be tucked in and the duvet did not fill the duvet cover (did not even cover the bed). The bed was also very very firm. Drinks in the bar are very expensive, but that is to be expected from such a classy hotel. All in all a lovely hotel in a brilliant location and would stay there again.
Lovely seafront hotel with great facilities. The staff were excellent and couldn't have been more friendly or helpful.
Very convenient for town and beach with easy parking and good facilities
Unfortunatly car park lift was broken so had to walk stairs which v unpleasent experience. Excellant staff good greeting and a friendly departure. lovely beds crispy clean sheets very clean room. Air con not excellant and noisy. Nice to have security on the door at evening . would def recommend.
We had a great weekend and nothing was too much trouble for the staff
Excellent rate for quality and location of hotel. Staff friendly and efficient. Restaurant typical of big hotel, great situation looking out on seafront, but expensive. Room spacious and well equipped but air con noisy.
It was necessary for us to change rooms due to the fact that Room 433 had a very large damp patch on the bedroom ceiling. We moved to 435 and there was still evidence of damp on the bathroom ceiling and the bathroom was overdue for a re-fit and thorough clean.
One of the best hotels in Brighton
Great location, very comfortable bed and clean. Would use again but only through internet sites where you can get a bargain. Otherwise it is over priced
Very friendly and comfortable hotel. Gym could do with a little updating but was adequate. Restaurant was excellent. Would definitely stay here again.
Marvellous location; clean hotel; rooms are very nice. Service is reasonable. Pool and Gym adequate.
It's right on the seafront, and close to the pier. A nice place to stay.
I read the feedback on Tripadvisor and had low expectations but was pleasantly surprised. The staff are very friendly (especially Ken in reception!). The rooms are clean but a bit dated. The location is fantastic, from the backdoor you can visit the Lanes and from the front is the pier. We went with my two year old and it was perfect. Would definitely go back.
