Getting there:From Sultan Ismail Airport Turn left at the end of Senai Airport Highway. You will pass Gelang Patah & Pontian intersection, Skudai town and Tampoi town. When you reach Bandar Baru Uda, turn left after you have passed the Petronas Station abd a few rows of shophouses. You will now have reached Jalan Starits View. From Jalan Straits View, turn left to Jalan Sungai Chat and you will see Thistle Johor Bahru. From Changi International Airport Take the Pan Island Express Highway (PIE) and turn left to Bukit Timah Express highway which lead you to Woodlands. At Woodlands you will have to go through Singapore Customs and immigration Checkpoint.Drive along the causeway and you will reach Johor Bahru Customs and Immigration Checkpoint.From the Johor Bahru Checkpoint turn left to Jalan Ibrahim. You will pass Jalan Abu Bakar. Turn right into Jalan Abdul Samad and turn left to Jalan Sungai Chat and you will see Thistle Johor Bahru.

My children really love the swimming pool..the hotel staff are friendly and good...location is new and a bit out of town...best is to drive there
The location is a bit off if would like to explore by foot. In terms of the environment, the staffs, service, they get both thumbs up for me. Enjoy nice music session in the night at the hive. Staffs there are friendly and they really treat everyone like friends. Will go back again. Cheers to Thistle.

Hotel is good, comfortable but the service give you uneasy feeling.
The breakfast area (restaurant) is too crowded especially on Sunday morning. Needed bigger space so that we don't have to Q to eat breakfast. The pool is wonderful. My daughter enjoyed it very much.
Service was prompt and courteous. Pretty good food. A good getaway!
A lovely hotel with excellent service. Very clean, very pleasant and very comfortable. Only downside is that it's a little removed from the main city area. A taxi is required to get into the city.
