Thon Hotel Arena is situated close to the railway station in Lillestrøm. In only 12 minutes by train, you can reach Oslo Lufthavn Gardermoen and Oslo Central Station. Located next to the Norwegian Trade Fair and the railway station, you will find a high quality, and a high standard hotel that also offer conference facilities. The hotels’ own recreation centre invites you to enjoy the SPA, swimming pool, sauna and fitness room. It was a windy night with lot of noise outside. I therefore had problems to sleep.
First and Foremost. Book through [website] and save about 50 percent. They wanted 1800 kroner a night when I called them directly. I have stayed in several Thon Hotels. Mr. Thon is a hotel magnet in Norway, very famous here, all of the other hotels that I have stayed in within his chain fall within Scandinavian hotel standards (tiny rooms, overpriced, lack of service (no valet, no bellboy, no roomservice) However, the Arena hotel is different, new, modern, and relatively spacious compared to Mr. Thon''s other properties. I do notice though that all of his hotels are missing something or something is broken, a broken hot tub, or in the case of the Hotel Arena no one ever fixed the pool and installed the lap jet machine (there is a hole there for it). Sadly, no other hotels in the area are any better. Compared to the US you dont get much for your money, but if you want need to stay near Oslo (the hotel is between Oslo and Gardemoen, then its a great place to stay, in Norway)

We like the hotel very good. The best we had visit this year. Good food, Exelent room end swimmingpool. We will go back to this hotel. Thank you
Lots of parking-space but terrible prices for parking around the hotel!!
Very good breakfast
Although far from the center, the train station is close, the train is quick, and the fresh air outside of the city center was a nice break.
