Getting there:The Airport Bus stops 150 meters from the hotel. The Airport Express Train stops at the National Theater Station 300 meters from the hotel. If you are arriving by car from E6 or E18, follow signs to Ring 1 down town Oslo, and then follow the Ring 1 to St.Olavs gate and Thon Hotel Europa.

Fairly large, clean rooms and a good breakfast buffet
The walls were a bit thin, and there was remodelling, but thanks to the location of my room, neither caused a serious problem. Location is great -- a short walk from the National Theater train station, and near many popular spots, and tram & bus lines.
All in all a decent offering. Take note that it is currently (August 2007) under renovation.
our room was quite small and also the bathroom was very small for a four stars hotel I will expect more space. Delux details for four stars hotel are missing. However we enjoy our stay there, it is a good position and it is clean.
Good budget hotel at a very good location. Clean rooms with a contemporary design. Good Scandinavian breakfast. Only complaint: Internet access is quite expensive at a rate of 179 NOK (~15 GBP) per 24h.
due to the fact that their was a party in the restaurant, there was a lot of noise during the night, which prevented us from sleeping. (3rd floor) Something should be done to make sure the noise is restricted to the lobby and the place the party is planned.
Hotel is quite basic but central. Rooms clean but compact. Only a 10 minute walk to most of the main attractions (shops - karl johan gate, museums, castle etc). Small things let it down like no milk for drinks in room. Had to use a vending machine in reception area. Easy to get there by tram from central bus stations.
The hotel is a short walk from downtown Oslo. It's a great all-rounder for business travellers and tourists.
Very satisfied with the hotel location and especially the service from the receptionist. Will be back for sure.
It's a very good hotel! The only thing that you could have asked of more it's the service in the reception. They were not so service-minded.

I was very happy about my stay at Tulip Rainbow Europa. I have ordered a single room but was upgrade to a double bedroom and the room had many services such as internet etc.

A bit expensive but it is a high standard hotel. Excellent staff and within reasonable walking distance to most attractions.
The hotel is very central to Oslo central which makes a good point for visiting the city.The pricing of this hotel with others in the locality is good considering the location and the hotel is of a very good standard.I would certainly recommend it for use to others and I will use it in the future as well.
Very good hotel. Great value (by Oslo prices) dinners available but only Monday thru Friday.
