Totaly refurbished with air conditioning in 2004. The location is exceptional. Perched on the slopes of Montmartre, next to the Bateau Lavoir of Picasso, the location of this 60 room hotel is one of the most desirable in Paris. Set beside a delightful chestnut tree square and the Wallace Fountain, it looks like a scene from a picture postcard.

Timhotel Montmartre Paris Guest Reviews

3 out of 5

Clean and friendly. The location was good for me being in Montmartre and close to Abbesses and Pigalle metro stations, but steep cobbled streets mean it is no good for anyone with more than minor physical difficulties. The room was tight for space and there is nowhere else other than a small breakfast room - i.e. nowhere to sit and relax.

4.8 out of 5

Good value for money. Well situated,Clean and fair size for Paris. Would stay again.

Good for the price. Great location, very near Abbesses Metro. Clean, friendly staff. Close to launderette. Our room was on the street and very noisy at times with the windows open – and in a Paris summer you had to have the windows open. Ask for a room at the back. No electric jug in room so no boiling water. Breakfast typical European but good ingredients. Good coffee. Would stay again.

You need to climb a hill to access the hotel. Bathroom was very small and toilet not very accesible.

This hotel has become our favorite when travelling to Paris on business. Its location is quieter than most, yet close to anything you would want to do or eat; in our opinion Paris at its best. Only minus is that parking is a good 10 mins walk away (Rue Cluny)- but that's a smallish inconvenience for the romantic location. Don't bother with hotel breakfast - walk down to Abesses for breakfast in a bakery... If you want old-time Paris feel - this is the place (rooms are small!)

Recently refurbed and looking clean . Rooms a little bit bijou but otherwise okay. Before checking in ask about the upgrade to top floor (view over the city) rooms - quite reasonable surcharge only. Hotel isn nicely placed for the Funicular and Sacre Coeur but is in a quiet area also. Plenty of good restaurants within a few minutes walk. Access is potentially difficult for those with walking difficulties.

Situated on the slope of Montmartre the hotel is perfect for those who like to enjoy both the life on the hill as well as have a fifteen minute walk to the heart of the city.

Rooms are very small. Breakfast was good. Staff weren't over friendly but were helpful if asked. Great location with easy access to Moulin Rouge and street cafes. Beautiful part of Paris.

Our reservation for the first - booked - night was not fulfilled - we had to be transferred to another hotel far away. Why wasn't it possible to contact us by mail or by mobile phone instead of letting us come all the way up to the hotel to tell us then that there was no room for us?

We had a superiour room with city view, and the view was indeed excellent. The room was not very big - but nice and tidy. The hotel is located in a charming area with many nice restaurants, and in an acceptable distance from the Abesses Metro.

Great location on the tree filled Square and a really good, but fairly pricey restaurant/bar opposite. We will certainly stay there again.

This hotel is very close to the square where all the artists set up their work and is also very close to the Sacre Coeur and hundreds of great restaurants. The subways to go to the other Paris attractions are within walking distance and the area is beautiful. The staff at the hotel are friendly and very accommodating. We will go back there whenever we go to Paris.

This good value hotel must be in one of the great locations in Paris. In a perfect position for Montmartre, and in an almost village setting, it also has good transport connections. I have wanted to stay here for years and will certainly return.

Oh My Word!!! This hotel has the most fantastic location, next door to Picasso's studio on a cobbled pedestrian square planted with chestnut trees, a stone’s throw from Place du Tetre and Sacre Coeur, but quiet!!! At night, the view from our top floor room with the Eiffel tower sparkling like a jewel over the Parisian rooftops was absolutely breathtaking. Lovely clean, quiet hotel, smallish rooms but neat and with aircon and recently refurbished. Brilliant value, what a find! Can't wait to return.
