Overall this hotel is very good, however, the web site should alert hotel guests the following: "Dupleix" metro station has been shut down due to renovation at this time, so that we can choose alternate metro station to get to the hotel and 2) there was no hot water during the night we stayed, i.e. Nov 9, 2009 and we have not been informed before hand until we have found out and reported to the front desk, till the next morning, there was only lukewarm water in the bathroom.
very good
Very helpful front counter staff who speak good english too! The only negative that we give this location is the lift is very small (only a 2 person lift) thus many travellers use the stairs frequently. We could hear the stair case being used as our room was next to it. Good budget location, close to the Eiffel Tower. Heating worked very well in December.
The hotel staff spoke good English and was very helpful. Guided me through phone to find my way to the hotel. The room was quite confortable and the breakfast was ok.
Thos hotel is shabby, down-at-heel and freezing cold. The heating did not work in the bedroom and we were there in December - horrific! The breakfast was a joke - orange squash, vile coffee and a stale roll. We went to the local cafe. A nightmare experience. Don't go there!
Nice hotel, english speaking staff, perfect breakfast, every day cleaning service, great location...
Our room was down the end of a very narrow corridor and was small and a bit run down. One of the walls had unfinished plaster on it, and we kept getting plaster dust on our clothes. Tiny bathroom, but serviceable. The area is OK, not particularly charming, but near a metro stop, near a good shopping street (rue de commerce, good for clothes and shoes) and only about a 10-15 minute walk to the Eiffel Tower.
This is neither the first nor the last time I will stay in this hotel. The people at the desk are very nice and helpful.
Great location close to the Eiffel Tower, and easy walking distance to many other attractions (Hotel des Invalides, Rodin Museum, etc), and between several Metro stations. If you are doing the Fat Tire Bike Tour, which I highly recommend, you're an easy 3 minute walk to their headquarters and meeting point. Great selection of the restaurants and cafes in the surrounding area - I recommend Suffran for good seafood and friendly service.
We only stayed in 1 hotel in Paris, as expected it was small but served the purpose. Excellent Breakfast great variety of everything, cereal, toast, roll, eggs, yogart etc. very clean and close to tower and city shops. We would walk most times. Enjoy your stay we did.
Registration was done by very friendly personnel. I was pleased with this hotel and will go back but only for short stays. The room was indeed very small and the shower door door doesn't even open all the way.
small rooms but great location
Location and price was very good. Not ideal if you are not slim as the lift and corridors were extremely small / narrow and the room was small too. But a good place to stay to see Paris and there is a great Italian restaurant opposite!
In terms of the Room facilities, it could be greatly improved if the rooms had coffee/tea making facilities. Just to get some hot water in the late evening/night proved to be quite a task.
Good location near Metro station. Staff service is good and speaks English.
Fabulous hotel, very clean, service is wonderful and the location is perfect as it is just around the corner from the Dupleix metro station. I will definitely stay there again and recommend it to all I know who are visiting Paris.
