Setting is great. Good value for money. Bathroom fixtures dated. Ask for river view.
this is a wonderful hotel to stay, the staff are friendly smilling and always available for you. The environment is great, the villas are comfortable and provide enough privacy, you feel alone surronded by green forest, gorgeous flowers and the sound of birds song . The food was very good .
This hotel is beautiful. It is built into a cliff and the setting is stunning. As it is set in a rainforest area there can be some wildlife in your room which you are warned about. This was the case for us and we were woken by something rummaging in our bin but easily solved by not putting any food wrappings in the bin. There are a lot of steps here too so not suitable for young children or old people. This was the most unusual hotel and the staff were lovely I would definately stay here again.
A beautiful hotel with friendly staff, two lovely pools and a must see spa. A truly Bali experience.
The location, with rooms stepped into the mountainside, and scenery is outstanding if you love natural beauty. I didn't use the spa but wished I had once I had seen other massage places in Kuta as the design and atmosphere is unique. The bathroom was a little mouldy/musty but given the damp nature of the environment, I could overlook this. Dining in the restaurant with a view was also relaxing. i would go back, despite no fridge in the room and a mix up with rooms upon arrival!
What a hotel! No tv, radio or modern features, just lush green gardens, fish and lilly ponds, fresh spring water swimming pools and spa's, a flowing river and staff that where always helpful but not intrusive. This is one place where you truly can relax. Breakfast was included, basic but sufficent. We spent two weeks in bali, our first week at [other hotel] and would not send my worst enemy there! If we had not spent our last week at Tjampuhan Hotel we would have thought bail a poor holiday destination... To all the staff, THAK YOU for making or stay one to remember.
This was our third visit to Tjampuhan and we love the beautiful garden setting which improves with each visit. The rooms are quite dated when compared with other places and lack fridges and tea/coffee making facilities. Our room in the Puri block was close to the road and noisy, and after requesting a room change, were moved to the upper Banyan block which was more spacious, and had river sounds. The many steps and pathways are challenging on a hot day and not ideal for all guests. Excellent shuttle service to and from Ubud and friendly staff driving the shuttle.
