We - my two teenage-daugthers and I - stayed at Albion for one week. The room was actually two rooms en suite, so we had a lot of space. The bathroom had a bathtub, which we loved after long days in Prague. Breakfast was ok, but after some days we would have appreciated some variation.Good service and clean, quiet and functional hotel. It could need a bit of maintainance though - painting e.g.To go to the center of Prague we had to take a bus and then the metro, but that was no problem, as busses arrived each 5 minutes.
very nice placz is a bit out of the city but transport is very good and cheap good informatin from tourist centre and map got me there easily with a short bus ride; overall very good
It is a big hotel in the greens, 7 bus stops (but buses come quite frequently) from the metro and then tram or metro to the center. The hotel is very old, but has spacious rooms, but without any gym/sauna/pool etc. I could book it for an incredible low price, so the price/value rate is very great. Breakfast is avarage. I can recommend, but it is not so easy to get the center with mass transportation.
great hotel. quality room although a bit small. nice morning breakfast. recommend arrive early for breakfast. hotel seems to have many guests so breakfast gets hectic later. abit removed from center city and tourist attractions. decent access with transfers via public transport.
For the exceptionally low price we paid, this hotel was extremely good. Very spacious if somewhat dated rooms, included breakfast was quite good, and the location was reasonable (short 5min bus ride to main part of town). Current rates seem a lot higher than I paid a year ago, making the value a little suspect now. The service was quite good, especially considering the hotel was very busy at the time.
The Albion is a good option if you are not too reliant upon the public transport system for access to the main tourist sites.
Albion hotel is a new hotel with a good service. I was satisfied.
We´d stay at the Albion again next time we visit Prague. It was a really satisfying experience.
No business center, no gym, no mini bar, no room service, no laundry.
air conditioning was not working- room was clean. Double bed was two single beds put together. Overall really good hotel
Firstly, i would like to say i was pleasantly surprised! Hotel Albion was a lot better than expected having read the reviews from other Hotel Club members, they certainly made me question my choice even before i had arrived. The hotel is nice, clean with very friendly and helpful staff. It has recieved awards for being the top hotel in Prague, both in 2002 and 2005. I enjoy getting to know the country i travel to and immerse in the culture, the hotel's location is around 40 minutes from the centre of prague, but public transport is very accessable from the hotel and very cheap. The local buses are very frequent and run from very early till after midnight, as for the connecting metro underground also. I enjoyed my stay at Hotel Albion.
great hotel. shame on distance from city center
Good hotel, Quiet at this time of year, probably equivalent to 3 star, Breakfast buffet expanded continental, No leisure facilities at hotel, Good public regular transport, bus and metro every 4 - 8 minutes, 30 minutes to centre & 60 minutes to airport by bus and metro.
Excellent value for money.
The beds were very hard. The meals were buffet only, there was no menu - and the meals left a bit to be desired. The location is about 5 kms from the Charles Bridge which made it difficult if you wanted to go into the City at night. We felt that public transit was not safe and it is a hassle to deal with the taxi's. One quote we received from the train station was for 1,450K. We actually took a taxi that cost us 300K.
Good rooms. Breakfast could improve.
We stayed at the Albion hotel for 3 nights. The hotel was very clean and the room (we stayed in a Standard Double) was well presented and cleaned daily. The reception staff were a little slow to realise you were standing at reception for a reason but once they paid attention to you they were very helpful. The hotel itself is a little far from the city centre but can be reached easily by taking the bus then the metro, it's about a 20 minute journey. Overall, we liked the hotel a lot but on our next visit we will be staying in a hotel closer to the centre.
We had a standard room for a special price (accordiing to a 3-star hotel), so other rooms may be better because it's a big hotel (290 rooms). Our room had no aircondition so it was very warm. Further: the room was very small, had only 1 chair, cheap furniture (bed small and cracky, thin matras) etc. Breakfast was sufficient, but simple: for example no scrambled eggs, no fish, no fresh fruit (only pieces of oranges). Staff was very helpfull despite the chaos of 9 arriving busses. Conclusion: good 3-star hotel, but certainly not a 4-star hotel.
The location is not central at all. Service is ok, except for the instance, when I asked for an iron in the morning and they requested me to come to reception and leave a deposit. Breakfast finishes very early.
It is a little bit far from the center (metro 'Andel' -> bus '137') Make sure the way to the hotel. It is hard to find only by a map. The breakfast is not so good. Anyway it's very clean and quiet.
