"Our expectations of TL were high as it had been recommended by a good friend. An Engineer/Designer couple, we are usually hard to please when it comes to (Australian) accommodation as our combined eye for detail often prevents us from enjoying ourselves completely. With that said, TL exceeded our expectations. We could not fault it. Rooms, service, amenities and common areas were exceptional (and beautiful)- and lead to a very relaxing and enjoyable stay.
One thing to note is to request a fireplace in your room. I think this website may represent rooms without fireplaces - we requested a fireplace upon arrival and were lucky enough to receive one. There was a surcharge however this was well worth it!

Luxuriously intimate and distinctively styled Tower Lodge is tucked amid a vineyard in the Hunter Valley wine region of Australia and forms part of a chic compound that is the Tower Estate. The Estate comprises Tower Winery, Robert’s Restaurant and Blaxland’s Café-Restaurant. The Lodge has twelve extraordinary guestrooms, a state-of-the art meeting room, a dining room, bar and lounge room, a library and a central courtyard. The Lodge supports an impressive recreational facility that includes “The Dinks”, an 18-hole short golf course, a 1.6km walking track, a heated pool, a sauna, gym and a massage treatment room. Tower Lodge is a Grand Award Winner of Andrew Harper’s Hideaway Report and was accepted as a Member of Select Hotels and Resorts. From the Harbour Bridge, proceed along the Pacific Highway north to the National 1 (F3) freeway at Wahroonga. Travel north along National 1 (F3) freeway towards Newcastle 1 to 1 ½ hours. Turn off the National 1 (F3) freeway at Cessnock/Kurri Kurri exit. As you enter Cessnock along Aberdare Road, turn right at the first set of traffic lights into Vincent Street following signs to Branxton. Proceed to the end of Vincent Street. Turn left at the traffic lights at Wollombi Road following the signs to Branxton and then the immediate first right at the traffic lights onto Wine Country Road. Proceed along Wine Country Road for 5 Kilometres. Turn left 500 metres past the Airport into Broke Road. Follow Broke Road for approximately 1 kilometre. Turn left at Halls Road and continue past the entrance to Tower Estate Winery and Tower Lodge is the next entrance on the right. You have arrived at your destination!
