Welcome to the Townhouse Hotel – your ideal accommodation for great value hotel breaks in the west end of Glasgow. Just bound to make you feel at home. To experience the calm of the countryside in the middle of a city, you will find the Townhouse to be an "Interestingly Different " Experience. An elegantly-restored Victorian townhouse, in one of the city's most picturesque Georgian Style crescents set back off famous Sauchiehall Street , in the heart of Glasgow's West End, which was traditionally the more affluent side of the city. Where you will find graceful sweeping streets, elegant Victorian architecture and pretty parks. We are situated close to the SECC and Glasgow University - and also amongst some of Glasgow's very best tourist attractions, including the Royal Concert Hall, the Hunterian Gallery and the Kelvingrove Art Gallery - and the Kelvin Hall International Sports Arena. And with plenty of bars, cafes, and restaurants offering a wonderful range of international as well as Scottish cuisine, the West End is a great place to head for if you want to sample Glasgow's night life.

there was a problem with my booking but they sorted it out without any hassle. good functional hotel

I was made ot feel very welcome on arrival even though the booking had not been recorded in their system. The room was spacious with lovely high ceilings. The only drawback was my being unable to open the windows. Breakfast was un-hurried and varied. Perfect location for being where everything is. Would certainly stay here again.

Hi. Check-in easy though they demanded full payment on arrival when I prefer to pay on check-out. Consequently didn't tip when paying as nothing to go on! Bed - clean & comfortable. TV - no remote & could only change channel by pressing button down from 100 to 5 - 95 presses each time! Shower & toilet - clean & reliable. Promised bath-towels provided eventually. Breakfast - dehydrated fry-up though toast & tea fine. Room needed deep clean though large enough & furnished well. Staff friendly & welcoming. Overall good value & would stay again.

You get what you pay for. Although the bathrooms have separate access to them they are actually in the hallway. The rooms itself lacks any kind of sound-proofing so depening on the noise you may find it difficult to sleep.

Great locale, parking great(Saturday), good breakfast. The staff were friendly. The room was adequate bed clean, the net curtains were dirty. Unfortunately I left a good pair of straighters behind, and to date they have'nt been found, despite the room,19, not having been relet. To date I have not been able to speak to the manager?

Simple hotel in a nice enough location, bathroom with shower included and some breakfast also part of the fee. For the price it was good value.

The hotel is within walking distance of the university student accommodation, great for visiting my daughter. The staff were friendly and helpfull, particularly the breakfast staff who went out of their way to please. I would definitely stay here again and would recommend it to anyone staying in Glasgow.

I would highly recommend the Townhouse Hotel Glasgow. It's in a very convenient location, the room we had was huge, the staff were friendly. One or two minor complaints like not having a remote control for the TV or bags of dirty laundry left lying in the corridors for collection - but that's probably not every day. Very comfy bed and great breakfast at a price that doesn't break the bank. We would certainly recommend the Townhouse over and above certain larger hotels we've stayed in in Glasgow recently.

The hotel was clean, warm and comfortable. There was plenty of choice at breakfast although for vegetarians it would have been nice to have vegetarian sausages and the hotel ran out of mushrooms. The location to the university's student accommodation, which is what we required, was excellent.

Great service and OK accommodation. Redecoration and a good clean wouldn't hurt. Beware the basement rooms - kitchen noises and damp. A bit of investment would make this an excellent hotel.

We found the ensuite very poor, the grouting & silicone seal were filthy and certainly have not been replaced by professionals. the shower leaked water all over tiled floor, there was half a roll of toilet paper and no soap of any kind to be seen. Blown bulbs both in bedroom and ensuite and the bedroom we could live with but the en-suite was unacceptable. The name gives an air of upmarket premises which they could be if some serious money was spent on this property, as it is in an ideal location for moving around the city

A bit tricky to find but well worth it. Quite special - clean, quiet, high ceilings and en suite facilities made it a pleasure to stay at. Good breakfast range and excellent location next to Kelvingrove Park. Great value and would book again.
