Good location but rooms looking a little tired. Food and drink were expensive

loved staying at Traders if I visit Singapore again would not hesitate to stay there again

The room we had was quite small for 2 adults and two young chn but ample. The restaurant had a great variety of food to choose from and it was really good although it was not cheap by Singapore standard. The free internet access was a bonus. All the staff were extremely courteous and friendly wherever you happen to meet them, here more than other hotels of this class that I have experienced.

Excellent location in Singapore. Short walk (<10minutes) to MRT and Orchard Road. Nice pool and rooms of a good size to have a 2 year old in his tent on the floor. Good pool facilities. Overall good value for money. Would definitely stay again.

The room was quite small and I was very surprised I could not cook in the "apartment." Otherwise the hotel was great. The breakfast buffet was outstanding. The pool was really great for my 2 1/2 yr old and baby. It was very conveniently located especially since it is attached to the Tanglin mall which has a big grocery store and lots of places to eat.

Overall a very good hotel.

Hotel location is nice and quiet from the traffic. Recommended for the people are looking for this environment. Room size is not worth compare to the price.

Simple, fuss-free but with all mod cons that you need. Quiet location but still within walking distance of Orchard Road. Will probably stay here again.

The Traders hotel was well appointed for the price and location. Gym facilities was more than adequate compared with other hotels I have stayed in. We ate at Ah Hoi's kitchen one night with friends but were extremely disappointed with the food especially for Singapore and the service was very, very poor. We had booked two rooms, one was fine but the other had a very bad lingering smell. Housekeeping never did anything about it. We relied the same problem to front desk and received exceptional service. They changed our rooms despite full occupancy. The shuttle bus service into Orchard was great but you were at the mercy of the schedule every hourly. Otherwise the walk is 10 minutes. We discovered our son's well loved stuff toy was missing. We rang the front desk manager requesting for a courier service to sent the stuff toy to the airport as housekeeping was not helpful. All ended well.

The rooms are quite old and the carpets, fixtures, furniture, etc, are very dated and worn!

With Traders Hotel you get 5 star Shangri-la service at a 4-star hotel and throuhg Hotel club I got 3 star pricing! A winner

Room is smaller than expected. I think LCD is a must!

Having paid extra for one of the special offers it was of little or no benefit. Room was musty, had a bad smell and had to be changed. Having requested a view of the pool and a double bed I was initially given neither. Breakfast good but often several trays where not refilled. Standard of this hotel has fallen to the extent I would not use it again. Better deals to be had in Singapore.

Room is too small for the price that we have paid. Slightly shabby.

Rooms are on the small side, but that's the only negative. With direct access to very western style shopping mall with arguably Singapore's best cafe(Cafe Beviamo), supermarket, walking distance to Orchard Road, its a great location. Also very close to excellent expat medicos in Tanglin Shopping Centre nearby (just in case!) Food and service all good with helpful staff.

I would certainly stay here again. Ah Hoi's Kitchen is a bit of a tourist trap and the service lackadaisical, and Rumpole's Bar was closed for renovations. But there were plenty of other food and beverage outlets within walking distance. The Botanical Gardens are a short walk away and perfect for a morning job. Paradise!
