Tranquil Vale provides holiday accommodation with 3 luxury cottages and a working 15 acre vineyard with cellar door based in the Heart of the Lower Hunter Valley. Located just two hours from Sydney. the Self-Contained Cottages have open log fires, relaxing verandahs, and beautiful views over the lawns and vineyard to hills beyond. Facilities - swimming pool, gym, tennis court, covered BBQ.

Getting there:From Sydney take the F3 Freeway, follow signs to Maitland travelling west along the New England Highway. Stay on this road passed Maitland for another 12km to the village of Lochinvar. At the western end of Lochinvar turn right and follow the signs to Tranquil Vale; we are 6 km from the highway.

Spectacular views add to the ambience of the experience. Reverse cycle air-conditioning, open log fires, well equipped modern kitchens plus c.d./radio systems and video - high quality fixtures and fittings are standard throughout. Floor to ceiling windows open onto the verandas and give a light and airy atmosphere. Two spacious double bedrooms comfortably accommodate a family or two couples.

A fantastic place to get away from it all. Owners Phil and Lucy are very helpful and friendly, taking great pride in their vineyard and its facilities. The gardens and vineyards are a pleasure to walk through (or to breakfast in), the pool is fantastic and if after tennis you still have energy you might try the gym! The location encourages you to explore further afield if you can drag yourself away from the resort. Each of the 3 cottages is very private but book well in advance.
The winery and apartments were beautiful! The owner was extremely knowledgeble and very friendly. The apartment was the perfect size.
Tranquil vale is in a beautiful setting. The units are spacious and clean. The verandah overlooking the vineyards was very relaxing.
Although it is a little bit further from the heart of the vineyards, the standards (rooms, customer service, ambience of setting) more than compensates. I actually felt that it was a blessing that it is quite a good distance from the commercialness of Pokolbin. Besides the superb wines offered, the warmth & service offered by the owners was tremendous, & made my stay & our overseas guests (Yanks!) memorable & totally enjoyable. I will be returning and recommend establishment to my friends.
Great place a little out of the main winery area. The place was nicely done out and the food was very nice. A very pleasant place to spend a few days.
Extremely clean with high standard of fixtures and fittings, helpful and warm welcome, with a refreshing aspect to view from the verandah and lounge at our leisure, lovely walks on the property with pleasant river scene adjacent. We will use Tranquil Vale again in the future.
The host gave a nice friendly welcome and our needs were met throughout our stay. The rooms were spacious and pleasant and a lot of thought had gone into guest's needs. I would feel comfortable in recommending this establishment to my friends.
