Great location. It's nice being in the red light district, but just out of the way, so there's not as much noise. People complain about the church bells across the road but they honestly weren't that loud - I could hear them, but they weren't making the whole room shake or anything (and we were right up on the road side, where the church was, so it couldn't have been any louder than what we had. Great, decent sized plasma TV, friendly service. Cleanliness overall was fine expect for a few very minor things: there was an empty hotel shampoo bottle behind the door and one of our towels was a foot towel, but they were happy to give us lots of fresh towels - they were great in this respect. One downer: Window wouldn't close, so noise from outside was annoying. It would nearly close, but stay open about 2 or 3 inches. I'd definitely stay here again; location and quality to price ratio is absolutely excellent.
Very noise. Even at 3am, early in the morning. The room has no heater, so very cold. This hotel has no lift. Need to carry you luggage floor by floor by stairs. The only good thing is it is very near the train station.
It is hard to understand the 'star' rating system. While this is only a 2-star hotel, Im not sure how it ranks so igh. It has 5 floors walk up, no elevator, very rickety stairs which make it a potential fire hazard. Shared bathrooms, which were clean and well looked after, would also mean it is over rated. Apart froma tap, there were no facilities in the rooms, and very dull lighting. The one thing really going for it is location, which was great, very convenient to the train station and Dam square. The staff were friendly.
Great place to stay. Clean beds daily. Unfortunately the bar was closed for the first time in 12 years with a plumbing problem so I didn't check it out. The staff is friendly and honest. If I get to visit again, I'll probably be staying here.
