Travelodge Hotel Wellington Guest Reviews

5 out of 5

We found everything at the hotel to be quite exceptional indeed. Recently renovated, we found the contemporary decore well done. Spacious room. No tub to soak in after a long day out. The glass shower was huge! It is also a secure building, not that one has to be concerned about safety. We had no issues walking the streets in evening hours. Although we chose to hit the street running to find some cool local eateries, we are sure the hotel offerings are quite good as well. But be findful that the restaurant was closed Fri-Sun, with room service only being available. What a city! What a location! If you are into walking, then this hotel location is absolutely perfect. Just minutes from the CBD and all this city has to offer in terms of dining and entertainment at it's best! We should have stayed a few more nights, because as we walked about the town, we would stumble upon even more to see... Yikes! We will have to come back to finish off our list of places to see.

Great 4 day break at the hotel in deluxe kingsize room with sea view, exactly like the "pictures", the whole experience was 4 star plu,s definitely the place to stay in central Wellington.

The hotel hadn't received my booking from Hotel Club, despite my credit card being charged. After having to prove that to the staff I was given a room. Not sure if the problem was with Hotel Club not sending the booking or Travelodge not processing it. Everything else was fine

Location of this hotel is ideal if you want to check out the city, cable car, botanic garden and the Beehive. Service at the front counter, room, and the restaurant is good.Only shortfall is they don't have a pool or spa.

Excellent location in the heart of the city. Easy road access from main highway. Very friendly and helpful staff. Small gym and no pool....... restaurant okay but not brilliant. Food good but found lots of eating places nearby with excellent range of styles and service. Would recommend without hesitation.

Staff were friendly and efficient. Room was very small but clean and tidy, although the bulb was blown on the bedside lamp. And no fan in the bathroom. But overall, a good hotel. Breakfast was pretty good and the deal with the Club made it worthwhile. Well situated for the city, with everything walkable. If we had had to pay for the parking and breakfast, I'd say it was too expensive, but as these were thrown in they saved us about $60! Hard to find but not impossible, the directions on the site were good. Overall, nice hotel and well placed. We live rural so the city is a little strange to us, so I won't mention the views!

One night stopover only. Basic King Bed (comfortable) room on 18th floor had partial harbour views. Although close to the lift it was nice and quiet. Everything worked and was clean and although smallish it did not feel too claustrophobic. The location was very good with many major sites of Wellington within easy walking distance . Pricing was fine with the bonus on a deal giving free and reasonably fast Wi-Fi. Would stay again.

Nice staff, good restaurant but seemed to have only one lift operating at peak times, and that shared with the training establishment on the lower floors, making for delays. Otherwise was a great place and would recommend.

The Staff at Travelodge were very helpful and great. Our only problem didn't lie with the Hotel at all but with Tournament Parking as we paid $20 per night to park our car in the carpark and were broken into BOTH NIGHTS!!! with our rear passenger window smahed the first night and several items stolen and the following night they used a screwdriver to force the lock on the front passengers side scratching the door as well. My complaint is mainly they are happy to take our money but after enquiring, they refuse to put any cameras in or provide security This I feel is totally irresponsible of Tournament Parking!

I enjoyed my stay I was a bit disappointed that the tea and coffee had not been refilled and had to ask for coffee, tea and sugar and no min bar facilities. However the service in the restaurant was excellent, and we had to wait a wee bit for two of our meals but eh staff and service compensated for this which made our stay on the whole a great experience, thank you to those people in the Restaurant. we enjoyed the meal very much too.
