I have stayed here many times and the accomodation is always superb, current menu is excellent.
Love the ambience of this old hotel.. Have stayed twice now and will be back. Staff service is great. This room was different to the last and can't compare equally, but still good value.
Good value accommodation just one block from the square - so pretty much everything Palmy has to offer is within walking distance. Secure parking is included free of charge. The room service menu is better value than the restaurant - although choice is limited. There is no gymnasium or pool, but the room we stayed in (2 x double bed) had reasonable fittings and bathroom etc. Its a typical hotel room without a toaster or any other cooking facilities or crockery - just a kettle and some mugs.
Staying at the Travelodge Palmerston North was really pleasant. My husband and I got a room with 2 twin beds and we languished in one each. I am a Gold Entertainment Card Holder. Beware if you are like me don't book the night before or you will miss out on the slots available to Entertainment Members. I was not aware that a certain portion of the rooms are available to Entertainment Members and when that is up you pay the normal rate. According to the on-line room availabilty there was one room left with twin queen beds left. I booked the night before and paid $150 for Friday and $99 for Saturday. However the girl at the checkout upon leaving gave me a ten percent discount card for next time. Next time I will book earlier and hopefully with my Entertainment Card I will get a greater discount. Really nice restaurant and friendly staff. Parking easy. Would definitely stay again. Thanks

We enjoyed our one night stay and the evening meal and breakfast that we had there. This was my second visit.
Man on front desk very pretentious, but if you can get past that, go for it. Was clean and tidy and close to everything.
This as my second stay at the Travellodge and whilst nice in the Heritage my preference would be for a tower room.
Hotel was good but disappointed they adverstised having PAY TV and only had about 6 channels of it. Room service was ok as well. Not a huge selection but food was good

It is an older hotel but well modernised. The old lift is a museum piece that is worth using just for the experience! Lovely rooms. Good restaurant, good service. I will definitley stay there again!
Getting tired and tatty rapidly with essential maintenance not being done. First floor rooms are over the electric door to secure parking. This badly needs oiling, every time a car went in or out the mechanism squeaked horribly and the sound came up through the floor. A blocked and dripping down pipe added to noise outside the window every six seconds. Alarm clock in room did not work and I found a metal piece from an adaptor plug lodged in the plug for the hairdryer - a risk of electrocution. Overrated in terms of value, this is no longer a topline hotel.

Stay was ok. Small room, heat pump difficult to work, horrible lift. Staff were ok but not exceptional. For the price paid, I've had better.
Really enjoyed our stay here. Room was lovely and warm, clean fresh. Staff were fantastic and went out of their way to look after us and our belongings. Very central to town. Would definately recommend and will stay their again in the future if down that way.
The hotel is conveniently located a couple of minutes from the square. The staff were helpful and attended to everything promptly. I had arrived early (10.30am) and was able to check-into the room straight away which was handy.
Great location, easy walk to the square. Clean tidy room and paid a fair price. The room was serviced but came up short on towels, shower gel and toilet paper!
Clean, modern, friendly great restaurant and bar
Excellent restaurant with very good choices in dinner buffet. Bar only has one beer on tap so you are basically stuck with bottles. Heritage Queen room in main building definitely a bit dated but clean and comfortable. Very good value for money.
