Travelodge Sydney Guest Reviews

4 out of 5

Travelodge Sydney is not a resort. It offers good hotels services - clean rooms, excellent staff. But it has no gym, swimming pool or onsite recreation. What it does have is a excellent location for site seeing all of Sydney at an affordable price - something that is rare in Sydney. The hotel is one block south of Hyde park and has easy access to the Hop on/Hop off bus and the Sydney rail and bus system. We used all of these and found getting around town was a breeze. The rooms are clean and well maintained. They have sinks, refrigerators and safes - surprising at the price. The staff are very responsive and helpful. We used them for transportation questions, directions and advice on things to see. In every case they were knowledgeable and helpful. I highly recommend this hotel to the vacationing traveler who is on a budget.

Travelodge is a great hotel to stay at while visiting Sydney. It is in a good location very close to Museum Station making it very convienient for public transport.Breakfast is served every morning between 6.30 and 9.30am with an excellent variety although you pay extra for breakfast. The rooms are modern clean and tidy. It was my second stay at Travelodge and I recommend it to an to anyone wanting to stay in the CBD.

We were attending a seminar at the Sydney entertainment centre which is in walking distance to the Travelodge. The walk down to the entertainment centre went many restaurants, bus stops, banks and shopping areas - they were all right there for us. Darling harbour was also in walking distance where we were able to catch a ferry to circular quay - a lovely ride. Our room was clean and had enough facilities for our purposes. The beds were comfortable and clean. The staff were friendly and helpful and assisted us in securing a shuttle ride to the airport. All in all, a great experience. Thank you to the team at the Travelodge.

Great location with easy access to railway station, connecting to airport and other parts of Sydney. We loved exploring Surry Hills, as well as walking to city centre and Circular Quay. We were pleasantly surprised with our room, it was well appointed, lovely and clean and exceptionally quiet. It was great having a microwave, crockery/cutlery and kitchen facilities. Travelodge was heavily booked due to City to Surf fun run, but accommodation was extremely quiet. We were on the 3rd floor (of 18 floors) and had no noise from street, (or other guests). A great stay, and would definitely stay again.

Good value for the price paid for our weekend which was a discount from the normal rate. Hotel machinery -Air conditioning and other machinery noises - were quite noticeable in our room on level 13. Pillows - 1 per person - were very thin and we used the decor pillows covered with towels. Our own fault I suppose - we should have asked for additional pillows but with the lobby full of arrivals or departures when we were entering or leaving and could have asked we didn't bother.

Staff friendly and efficient, great location to walk to Hyde park. small rooms, no mini bar. We had a room with 2 single beds (not ideal for a romantic weekend away) with no option to change until the second night.

Reception staff were helpful. Location was handy to central city and theatres. The hotel was close to bus and train, both of which ran very regularly. A limitation was the kitchenette had an electric jug and microwave only. A toaster would have been useful. We had an enjoyable stay and would be happy to stay here again.

We were very happy with the Travelodge Sydney. It was an easy walk to the Entertainment centre, where we needed to be each day, and I appreciated the kitchenette for preparing breakfast, sandwiches for the day and even a quick meal at night. A toaster would have been great but I appreciate that these may present fire risk. We also really appreciated that the Travelodge stored our luggage after check out on the final day of our conference, enabling us to be free for the day. The tarriff was very reasonable.

OK location, you can walk to China Town and Darling Harbour, Central Station and other city locations but it is a bit of a walk - and up-hill. Capitol Theatre is nearby. Staff friendly and helpful, breakfast great but cheaper available in nearby restaurants and cafes. Rooms very clean and quiet. I'll stay here again, particularly on business trips.
