The staff is wonderfully attentive without being annoying. Great for a romantic weekend away.
Friendly very helpful staff. Room smaller than one might expect at this price. Limited restaurant, on weekends this basically a party club. Odd courtyard, like some mid-Western Marriot. Good room service. Got all I asked for quickly.
Where to start? I love hotels and if it isn't right, the rest of the trip no matter how great will be diminished. This hotel exceeded my expectations from the second we arrived. Desk staff was friendly, cheerful and seemed happy to see us. We were there at 12 but they got us a room right away so we could get settled then out to explore. The hotel itself is a stunner, modern but very warm, lobby/bar area suffused in golden lighting, amazing candelit wall like a modern grotto, spectacular, open atrium eight stories high, lots of room. Room itself was spacious for NYC and GREAT amenities, Malin and Goetz toiletries luxurious touch. Bed comfy, robe velvety, everything immaculate. There is even a white noise machine, which I didn't even need, and I am a light sleeper. Location was outstanding, Tribeca area loaded with shopping and great restaurants right outside your door, walk to Chelsea Market,WTC and the Village, but train stop across the street if you don't feel like walking. Price amazing for what you get. Highly highly recommended.
Close to metro. Updated interior. I would probably get a room in a higher floor, the second floor can be a little loud
We stayed in the Tribeca Grand hotel for 7 nights and did not want to leave! After the taxi dropped us off at their sister hotel the Soho Grand Hotel, the doorman walked us three blocks pulling both our suitcases so we avoided another taxi in the evening traffic...! Being brand new to the US and not overly conscious of the requirement to tip this - the doorman didn't even wait around in expectation (which was the case in other scenarios - however not with this hotel). The rooms were always expertly cleaned daily, any requests for cutlery, glasses, etc were received well with very prompt service. I also must comment on how good-looking all the staff were! So much so that we started to think maybe it was a prerequisite for employment with this hotel that you be super good-looking, with individual style and pizazz to boot. Super friendly, super professional and very worth the money you pay. I will return without a doubt.
Excellent with friendly staff - will visit again
Couldn't have been more impressed with the hotel. Almost painfully cool, with an impressive array of neat touches that complete the picture, from optional iPod docking station to volume-controllable white noise for blocking out any sounds from the busy hotel bar, to in-room goldfish (!) available on request. The staff are very helpful without being ingratiating. I would definitely go back.
Excellent food from the in room dining and hotel restaurant. Pity the wait staff and Maitre D' were so arrogant, unflexible and unhelpful (with the exception of one staff member). The US expectation to be tipped for imparting the smallest piece of information or exertion (eg opening front door/hailing a cab) really began to wear thin on us. This was more evident at the Tribeca.
Great location, easy to get to from the Holland Tunnel. Close to good shopping. Staff was wonderful, lobby bar/restaurant is very cool, and the rooms were small but awesome. Very trendy. Flat screen tv's, Bose radio/cd players, very comfortable bed. Each room has a "white noise" feature which drowns out the lobby bar/street noise. We were on the 6th floor and it was very quiet, even on a Saturday night when the bar was packed.
bar is very nice, and is quite modern hotel It is cool the technology as you can borrow an IPOD adn you can also listen to some CDs as the room has a music equipment
Great location with a youthful, fun atmosphere.
Excellent stay! Staff were all fantastic. Rooms are minimal in deco, but very well done and very, very comfortable. I would recommend this hotel to anyone. Close walking distance to Little Italy and Chinatown, although we walked a lot further. Nothing but positive things to say about our stay there. Thanks.
Great location and great friendly service.
Great up market hotel with very comfortable large bed. Good facilities and friendly service.
Great hotel. Very conveniently located. Staff was exceptionally polite and helpful, in fact we wanted reservations to a particular restaurant that night and the concierge picked up the phone and, voila,it was done. I'd definitely stay there again.
Fantastic location, great room (King), super ambience, especially in the Church Lounge, a little bit on the expensive side, but then NY is expensive. Would stay there again.
Overall I felt the hotel was very clean, contemporary and friendly. I did encounter one very strange situation where I ran out of toothpaste and asked the front desk if they had any available and they didn't. I thought that was strange, a big hotel that has everything you need except toothpaste! I wouldn't let that stop me from booking again in the future though. My overall experience was pleasant.
The atmospheric bar serves great cocktails. You are five minutes walk from the best shopping in New York, and a short walk from the delicious restaurants of Greenwich Village. Highly recommended.
A very young "trendy" hotel that mirrors the clubbing life style of the tribeca area. It is expensive but is definitely a very good upmarket hotel with all the amenities you would expect for the price. More a hotel for the well heeled clubber. $8 for half a beer sets the market.
excellent hotel, located ina suburb location if you want to have easy access to Tribeca, Soho, Little Italy, Greenwich Village, Chinatown-the list goes on. I had read some negative reviews before booking but ignore them. The hotel is in excellent condition. We couldn't fault the staff from front reception, conceirege, doormen.and bar staff. They all couldn't do enough for us. The rooms were very well furnished and a good size regardless of what others may say. Noise-what noise!
