Hotel Trieste is composed of a building dating from the end of the nineteenth century and a completely new wing built during restructuring work, which concluded in 2002. Among the hotels in Mestre, Hotel Trieste knows how to unite the charm of the Venetian style rooms with the modern functionality of the hall: careful attention to detail to satisfy our guests' needs. The hall was renovated during the recent 2002 restoration with light Roman Tavertine flooring accompanied with wenge furniture. The ground floor hosts the bright breakfast room which in the morning is prepared for a continental buffet with sweet and savory dishes, which vary depending on the season. During the day guests can avail of the room to relax. From the ground floor, crossing an old flight of steps, guests can access the upper floors with their warm and welcoming character in which one can rediscover the atmosphere of Venice: great care has been taken in the details of the rooms and the large lounges in Venetian style with original wooden beams, enriched with chandeliers and precious oriental rugs. Getting there:By Plane from Venice Marco Polo international airport is just 8 km from Hotel Trieste. It is also possible to reach the hotel by taking a private taxi (about 20 euro) or using ACTV (Bus no. 15 which stops just a short stroll from the hotel) and ATVO public services. By Car On exiting the airport turn right and after 100 meters turn left following the directions for the highway. Take the ring road for Milan. Take the fourth exit for Venice-Porto. On reaching the overpass turn left (station direction). There is a traffic light in front of the station after about 300 meters and Hotel Trieste is immediately afterwards By Train: Hotel Trieste is in front of Venice-Mestre station, on the left coming out of the station. By Plane from Treviso San Giuseppe di Treviso international airport is about 20 km from Venice-Mestre. There are frequent ATVO direct public buses to Venice-Mestre available at the front of the airport - cost about 4 euro.

Hotel was good ,staff was very cooperative but they speak Italian more than english. Room was ok ,i did expected a bigger room it was narrow room with two single bed lying in two corner of room . their was no coffee/tea making facility , which was disappointing . Hotel is accros the train station and bus stop is two minute walk . From airport their is dirct bus to city mastre ,which is good . i brought 36hrs bus and ferry ticket for Euro 23 ,which was good bargain . For venice i took bus and was their in 20 minutes. their was restaurant next to hotel ,which was good price and fresh food. coffe was Euro1.00 for coffee and sandwitch was euro 3.50 ,which was lot less than what we pay in sydney,australia
Perfect location, just across the street from Mestre train station, from which trains depart every few minutes for Venice (EUR1.05 one way). Great selection at breakfast, with all fresh offerings. Hotel itself basic, but adequate.

very central easy to find and a train or bus away from central Venice
the hotel is quit good coz it is very close to the train station so u can go to venice just 10 min and my friends said the most importanc thing is the reception is very handsome.
A basic hotel in a great location.
I think the Hotel was fantastic.... except its heating in the room, which is somewhat one of the bad experience I have ever had. I have not spoken to anyone in the hotel about this issue because I was too tired and also lack of time... Overall the hotel was pretty good.
This hotel is directly across the road from Mestre Station which makes it very quick and convenient to get to Venice by train or bus. The hotel is very clean, with basic facilities. Although on a busy road and near the railway, noise was not a problem. I would recommend this hotel for value and closeness to Venice.
the room was very small but overall very clean. the staff did speak english and was very helpful. good for a one night stay but a little out of the way if going to the ports or st marks sq. near the train station but surprisingly not very loud
Our bathroom was very cramped with a slopped ceiling and only a bath, no shower. Other than that the hotel was great! The air conditioner was a blessing, the bed was comfortable, it was right outside the Mestre train station, with plenty of shops and restaurants around it. The reception area was very modern, with a computer where you could purchase internet time, and the breakfast buffet was really nice. The only thing that hindered our experience was that the guy on reception couldn't speak much english at all, but we got by on hand gestures and cursed ourselves for forgetting our italian dictionary.
The night we arrived, the man at the reception desk was not really that friendly. The bathroom smelled a bit stain or moist. Also the rooms are VERY noisy, the walls are like card board. Not only you can hear your neighbours word by word, but the train station opposite of the road is very noisy. The rooms and furniture were clean and correct though, just very small. Also breakfast was very basic. Only one sort of bread and only on Saturday there were boiled eggs. But maybe I'm a snob ;-), used to staying in hotel chains like Accor and NH, where the standard is a lot higher. My friend thought it was OK. Most positive was the train connection to Venice, with the train station across the road. And a very friendly restaurant (Ostr.. something) next to the hotel with good food...
As with many Italian hotels there is no kettle in the room.
Trieste hotel was excellent, clean and comfortable. An affordable hotel and reasonably convenient to Venezia (St Lucia). I had no problems with the bathroom or surliness at reception that some other guests seem to have experienced. I would definitely stay here again and have already recommended it to friends.
Location, cleanliness and pricing are great, however, the staff there are not that helpful, hand out a check in form for us to fill with all Italian on it without explain anything. Breakfast is so-so.
It is a nice and clean hotel, the location is perfect especially when you travel by car but I think it is too much to pay 10E for parking moreover it is only a parking place in front of the hotel not a garage but we are in Venice! The bathroom is also very small although there is everything you need. To visit Venice and to have place where to stay over night it is very good deal.

The Triste Hotel is in Mestre, which is only a 10min train ride to central Venice. The Hotel is situated immediately opposite the train station which was great but there were not many facilities nearby. The Hotel was quite new but the rooms were very small.
Great place to stay. Located directly across from train station. 5 minute train ride to Venice.
Problem with the bathroom. It is under the eves. There is no shower and you cannot stand up at the bath tub. The hotel staff was friendly and location is good.
Excellent situation for reaching Venice - train every 10 minutes. Journey took 8 minutes. Hotel clean but shower facilities were difficult as no separate shower unit. All part of the toilet room. Breakfast fairly basic but fresh rolls etc. Female staff all cheerful and friendly. Two of male staff verging on the surly. Would certainly use hotel in the future
