Getting there:The Tryp Apolo is located in the centre of Barcelona, close to the old heart of the city, Las Ramblas and rapid-access routes. It is 10 minutes walk from the Barcelona Trade Fair Centre, Congress Palace and just 10 kms from the airport. The closest Metro and bus station are right outside the hotel. (parallel stop)

No tea and coffee facilities in the room, telephone in room not working, said they would put it right but did not. Room size good, friendly staff, would go again.
Nice hotel and within walking distance of the Ramblas.
Reservation was made very easy and so was the first payment. The hotel is clean, nice and the service was very friendly. The hotel is located right off center of the city, which is very comfortable. About 10 minutes walk from the main shopping street "La Rambla". There is a subway station right next to it and it very accessible by public tansport. If you have a car - you have a parking problem. this is a general comment for anywhere in Barcelona (and other main cities in north/east of Spain)
The location and service of this hotel were good and it is within minutes walk of the City centre. Breakfast selection was varied and sufficient. Would recommend this hotel and have no hesitation in staying there again
Great location wonderful buffet breakfast. Reception staff were very helpful when the wrong tickets for Barcelona FC (which we had booked on line) were delivered to the hotel, had a great stay

Hotel is fantastic. Free welcome back about Barcelona - and maps. Rooms: clean, large, value for money. If your a couple ask for a bedroom with "one big bed" as they seem to think that a double bed is - well - Double beds ie 2 singles!!! Free safe. Food: never tried as no need. Plenty of restaurants and bars locally. Breakfast I believe is €17. Forget it. Plenty of nice food shops and cafe's nearby. Location: Situated about 5 mins walk from sea. (Where the Rambles meets the sea). Walk down a street for 5 mins and you come to the Rambles (half way up). After reading a few reviews previosly some people have put that it is a unsuitable neighbourhood. Forget that its fine. Nice bar around the corner called Apollo. You pay so much to get in and their is a beer tap on each table - so you can drink what you can. Apollo nightclub in the same block - no noise. Open until 6am i think (never went in).
Good location, good services!
The hotel is just great. Its located right next to the subway and its just a 5 minut walk to the rambla. The breakfast costs about 17 euro pr. person pr. day, which I found rather expensive, but it is really really good. The coffee is not very warm though ;-) The only thing to complain about the hotel is, that its not very well soundisolated towards the street which makes it pretty noisy in the night. But its in the midle of a huge city, so what to expekt.
its a good hotel, except they dont have an electric adopter from english ver to EU for guest to be to charge your mobile, so make sure bring your own adopter
The breakfast was excellent incorporating both hot and cold food. The restaurant menu was limited in choice however the quality of the food was first class.

The hotel is perfectly placed in Barcelona and was comfortable. The staff were all very good - I would stay there again.
The location is excellent as the metro station is just outside the front door which takes you anywhere. The buffet breakfast offers a wide range of cooked meats, cheese, cereal, fruit and a fry-up! the staff are very helpful on check-in and provide a map and highlight key tourist attractions. there are taxis outside the door all day, it takes about 20 minutes to get to the airport at busy times.
Good staff, clean, nice room, excellent buffet breakfast, lovely stay. This was our second time there and we'll be back.

The hotel is near the Metrostop Paralel, that's convenient. It is possible to walk to Rambla, of the harbour. It is close to the centre of Barcelona. There was noted that there was an indoor pool, but we could not find it. The breakfast buffet was very good, staff were friendly and kind.
