Tryp Atocha Hotel Madrid

"A nice hotel, well managed and the staff were pleasant. But I felt that they charged a very high amount for the internet connection for a guest. Normally guests receive such services included in their stay. It seemed that they charged for every little thing. I was a bit upset that when I checked out, there was an additional 65.00 euro in charges!!" - Abigail Richon

"We were given a room directly above the function suite and it was very noisy. We asked for another room but were told there were no rooms available as there was a wedding on. It was very late at this point and we were tired. The receptionist said we would get another room in the morning after the wedding guests had checked out. This was done and we were happier with the change although it had oviously been a smoking room and there was a slight stale smell of smoke. Other than that the room was comfortable, clean and of adequate size." - Anonymous

" This is a beautiful hotel located in a convenient location. Our room was a little warm at first, but we were able to correct this by opening the window (no working airconditioner that we could figure out). The bathroom was lovely and imaculately clean! Extra gifts were provided which were helpful (razor, shaving cream, shower cap, dental kit). The staff was warm and friendly. The chocolates on arrival were a nice gesture, too. "Situated right next to Anton Martin subway. Hotel very clean & staff helpfull, room bsically decorated & on the smallish side, though I could of upgraded. Air conditioning excellent and quiet, which meant we could have it on during the night. Excellet & cheap tapas bar when you come out the hotel turn left and take 1st right at the end of that little street on the corner. " - David Wilson
