"The hotel is extremely noisy with many a drunk coming in at about 4 a.m. every morning and banging around. Also rooms very small and nothing special. All in all certainly not worth the price charged for this hotel. "I wanted an hotel near the Marine, that was reasonably priced.
Pleased to say I got exactly what I wanted, located perfectly. Doing a short 3 night budget break,I didn't want to spend fortunes on accomodation. The information on your web site was a true reflection, of what the Hotel was like. My one small complaint with the Hotel, is, there is no bar, to have an afternoon or evening drink at. That said there are many located very close.
All in all, an enjoyable stay, and would stay there again ( and probably will ).

The Tryp Ciudad de Alicante hotel, refurbished in 2003, enjoys a privileged location in Alicante, ideal both for leisure and business travellers.
The hotel is located next to the Gravina Palace housing the Museum of Fine Arts, 1 minute walking distance from Postiguet Beach, 100 m from the City Hall, the seaside promenade and the marina with its wide range of leisure activities and restaurants, 200 m from the access to the Santa Bárbara castle and 10 minutes from the shopping district Maissonnave in the city center of Alicante.
The hotel has 70 rooms refurbished in 2003. All of them offer a fully equipped bathroom, independent air conditioning, satellite TV, mini-bar and laundry service. Rooms for smokers available.
Its facilities include a Free WIFI Internet connection in the lounge a dining room and in every room, a Garage (not included) and Internet point in the lounge

Arriving from Madrid, Murcia (A7 motorway) or from the Airport (Elche highway), follow the signs "puerto" and, once in the square Plaza del Mar, in front of the Melia Alicante Hotel, turn left at the statue near the Spanish flag. Arriving from Valencia (A7 motorway), go towards the Town Hall (Ayuntamiento) and the port, and follow the signs indicating the hotels of the city. |
