Hotel Tryp Washington was renovated in 2000. The hotel is located in the lively Gran Vía of Madrid, walking distance from the Plaza de España square, and very close to the Royal Palace, the Cathedral, the Playa Mayor (Main Square) and most of the city's most emblematic monuments and museums. about 12 km distance from the International Airport Barajas (MAD). Very good central location to see the city on foot – Two Starbucks nearby, for morning coffee - Rooms good and clean Underground car park just round the corner but expensive, although the hotel gives a 30% discount on parking
This was a good basic hotel; rooms were very clean and excellent value for money. Staff on the front desk were very helpful and friendly. Hotel was in a very good location for sightseeing. I would stay here again and definitely recommend it to others.
The walls iin the lobby and room were dirty, however, the bathroom was clean. There was not one chair nor table in a very small room. The lift was barely big enough to carry two people and two suitcases. Some of the staff were helpful, but some were not. Location was good, close to all attractions. The dirtiness of the walls in the lobby and the room made it most uninviting.
Great location on Gran Via very cloe to a metro stop. Hotel lobby is very shabby and gives a poor impression. Room reasonable size but no tea/coffee and internet on 1st floor only. Bathroom not cleaned properly. There is no thermostat on the shower which means a constant risk of being scalded by the very hot water.
Nice hotel, excelent location, good price
The best thing about the hotel is its central location. If u have a car there's parking very near by with discount for hotel guests (19 euro per day). The hotel is clean. rooms are nice. If you want a quiet room ask for one opposite the main street. the hotel staff are very friendly and happy to help.
Great location--easily accessible to all major tourist attractions, art galleries, etc. by foot. Breakfast was most enjoyable and the staff very pleasant to deal with.
THE ROOM, SERVICE, BREAKFAST AND LOCATION IS GREAT I WOULD DEFINITELY RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL TO ANYONE.
We are happy in staying at said hotel. Special mention a man by the name of Ruben Torres of the reception area. He was very accommodating and with very good public relation SMILE. Only negative we had observed was that the windows in the room 504 where we stayed was not sound-proofed so that you always hear the horning of the different transportation. Otherwise in general the hotel was well located to all kinds of sights, tranport etc.
The free breakfast was outstanding.
The hotel was exactly what I expected. Thanks for the assistance.
