I stayed 5 nights. The hotel facilities were very good and the staff helpful and friendly. I asked if I could possibly have a quiet room and was given one on the fourth floor at the back. Be warned - the trains rumble past 24 hours a day! The noise was horrendous - now I know why the receptionist offered me some earplugs on arrival!!! It did spoil my stay! I had to TV on all the time to try and drown out the noise to no avail!
The buffet breakfast was very good. Housekeeping could do with improvement - one day we had no handtowels (but 4 bath towels); the next day we didn't get a bath mat...but this is nothing serious! I would like yo see them put in a bar fridge in to each room, so that you can keep drinks cold.
Sixty comfortable "Heritage" rooms with fine wood furniture and a harmonious play of colours and materials. All are equipped with bathrooms, a hairdryer, radio, satellite TV, desk and telephone. Non smoker rooms are also available. Self service bar on third floor.
A small hotel with limited facilities, but adequate for our needs.
Nice room with a good powerfull shower. Good breakfast. About 5-10mins walk to the main station in which you can get to most places in Berlin and to the airport to the south. There are a few bars and resturants nearby.
Although there was not much in the immediate surrounding area, the hotel was located close to public transport which made it easy to get to all the sights of Berlin. Main downsides was the train tracks right next door which meant it could get noisy and poor air conditioning system.
Very close to Frankfurter Allee S-Bahn and U-Bahn stations.
Great hotel, clean, tidy & quite presentable. Food is great & breakfast is fantastic. Close to subway, walking distance to shopping. Excellent choice, will definately stay again.
Good location 5 minutes walk from rail and underground stations, plenty of good reasonably priced restaurants (Italian, Chinese etc.) all within easy walking distance of the hotel.
I found the location a little noisy in respect of railway line and traffic, especially when opening the window, which was my preference, otherwise the breakfasts were excellent, the chambermaid was efficient and bilingual. We rented a garage, and the reception people were very helpful. Thank you again
The only negative (positive for many) is its proximity to the S-bahn, making it a little noisy. But rooms are well double glazed.
