"overall, this is not a bad hotel for the price. The service is excellent and staff is quite helpful. You will need to be fit to walk up and down from center plaza to the hotel. It is actually quite convenient not a hard walk except you must have good legs to manuever. The only down fall of the hotel is that the balcony site is facing the junk garage of a neighbor." - Anonymous
"Ultramar is right at the top of a very high steep hill. We decided we could walk down. We did but it was very hard. Steep uneven sidewalks and roads. We are fit Seniors, but our legs trembled with the effort. We couldn't walk up. Taxi is the only way. Hotel has nice terrace but it overlooks a dirty scrapyard. But this is not unusual for Val. Nice houses can be surrounded by- what we would call slums. People very nice and helpful. Breakfast is good, but don't think you will get much of a dinner there. Snacks only.
