"Very pleasant stay. The hotel is outstanding in every aspect. Clean, comfortable, excellent staff, and very good breakfast. Try the pizza around the corner at 'Corte Antica I Ciampa'. "Quiet location in the village, yet mins from local restaurants and shops. The junior suites have balconies and overlook the lovely pool and small garden. Historical building with beautiful original features and tastefully decorated. Well situated for drives to San gimignano & Volterra etc. but theres also a local bus service which we used, to go down to the station for our visit to Sienna, which was only 30 mins or so by train. Located along the walls in the centre of Montaione, famous for the Castle of Montaione, a small medieval hamlet on top of a hill, 341 metres above sea level. We are in the heart of Tuscany, a region where there are many archaeological sites open to visitors.
