Vagabond Executive Inn (Old Town) is located just off the Interstate 5 freeway. We are about a half of block from Old Sacramento and the Railroad Musuem. We offer a courtesy shuttle to and from the Airport and Amtrak Station. We have an outdoor heated swimming pool with spa. We also have a small fitness center. We also have a business center with high-speed internet access.

Getting there:From I-80/US-50 Eastbound or Westbound: Take I-5 North and exit at J St. Stay in left-hand lane and cross Third Street. Turn left in the driveway to the Inn. The Inn is located on the corner of 3rd and J Street. From I-5 Northbound or Southbound: Exit at J Street and stay in left-hand lane. Cross Third St and turn left into the inn's driveway. The inn is located on the corner of 3rd and J St.
Check-in Procedure:Our check-in time in 3:00pm. At check-inn must provide proper identification.
Car parking:We provide guest parking.
Child Policy:17 years of age or younger are free of charge when they stay in their parents room.
I was taking an early Amtrak and was looking for something close enough I could walk to it and the Vagabond Inn fit the bill. Right across the street, and it was a very very nice hotel on top of it all. My daughter dropped me off after we spent the day at Old Town Sacramento, just two blocks away. The staff was great and the rooms clean and comfortable
Stayed at this hotel for 2 nights while visiting a friend in the area, the bed and pillows were nice and comfortable and the location was right near old town. The price was good for its location lots to do in that area with little to no driving. All and all a pretty good deal.

Nice location to Old Town Sacramento (walking distance), comfortable room, excellent bed, refrigerator, microwave, ironing board and iron which I used. I would recommend this hotel for location to Old Town Sacramento. next door to a Denny's restraunt
The location from Old Town Sacramento was perfect,easy to get to. There was a mall with movie theatre acroos the street, train station close by.
The hotel was in perfect walking distance to Old town Sacramento, the hotel staff was very helpful, they let us park our car in the parking lot even before we checked in so we could start touring Sacramento. The hotel room was decent size, and clean ( slightly older hotel). Breakfast was ok, fruit, cereal and waffles were the basic choices. Over all I would stay here again if I was visit downtown Sacramento especially Old Town.
Hotel was in excellent position for visiting Old Town being just a 2 minute walk away through a public car park, also very convenient for sacramento Amtrak/Caltrans station across the road. Unfortunatley the people who run sacramento spoilt this end of town by allowing the construction of flyovers next to the hotel and Old sacramento for the Interstate so traffic noise is a major problem hear, albeit we had an inner facing room which was quieter. Other than that a very good budget hotel for a 1 night stay.
We were plesantly surprized in how nice everyone that worked ther was. also the breakfast was very good. we will stay there again if the need ever comes up.
Very friendly service and a great location, walking distance to Old Town. We stayed there for the Sac Jazz festival and were close to everything. The pool and hot tub are very nice and in a sunny spot and the continental breakfast is excellent! You can make your own waffles, there's fruit, yogurt, juice, muffins, bagels. They also have a small gym with treadmills and weight machines. Excellent value for the money.
Hotel was nice, pool and jacuzzi were clean and un-crowded. Staff was friendly.
