Getting there:Airports Montgomery Airport (MYF) 11 miles from the San Diego (Point Loma) property San Diego International Airport (SAN) 2 miles from the San Diego (Point Loma) property Directions From I-5 Take Rosecrans exit. Go south for 3 miles then turn left onto Emerson. Proceed one block to the inn. Inn is located on Scott St, near intersection with Emerson St. From I-8 Westbound Take the Rosecrans exit. Proceed for approximately 2 miles then turn left onto Shelter Island Drive. When you come to Scott Street, make a left. The inn is on the right hand side, 2 blocks away. Inn is located on Scott St, near intersection with Emerson St.
Check-in Procedure:Reservations not cancelled within 24 hours of stay will be charged 1 room night. Check-in is at 4pm and Check-out is at 12 noon.

Child Policy:Children may not be left unattended in room or around pool area.
Parking lot is BAD. Not enough space for all the guest. Each parking slot is very small. Two Van or truck will not fit side by side in the slot without damaging each other. Hallway was NEVER cleaned. No Exhaust fan in Bath room. Back of the hotel has a restaurant, which gets truck in and out early in the morning. You can not get quiet sleep in the morning. Swimming pool water was not clean. Staff was helpful and polite. Rooms were very clean and Bed were comfortable and clean. Air conditioner was noisy but was adequate. For the money, it was worth staying.
The rooms are much nicer than you would think from the appearance of the exterior thanks to a recent redo. Beds were comfy. Biggest complaint was that there was no recycling done by the hotel or provided for the guests which from now on will be one of my requirements before choosing a hotel.

Inn is centrally situated in Point Loma giving easy access to most of San Diego, room was adequate, contained a fride/microwave which I wasn't expecting. At the front desk there's a free supply of pastries/cookies/coffee/orange juice etc and the choice of channels on the TV was better than in some more expensive hotels we stayed in during the same trip. All in all I'd recommend staying in the Vagabond Inn.
The hotel staff was great, the price was exceptional, the location was fabulous; the bedding and towels were clean.
The Vagabond Inn is the perfect place for budget travellers landing at San Diego Airport since it is only 5 minutes away. There is a nice pool and it is close to good value restaurants. I would go back again.
The room and bed were very comfortable, and clean. Showers weren't that great, the cold water had much more pressure than the hot water, making it hard to regulate the water temp. Heated pool. Continental breakfast is bagels and danishes, with juice and coffee. But very good location some restaurants near by, as well as a church and close to downtown. About a 15 minute drive from coronado Island. Good customer service.
