Hotel Van Eyck is centrally located, overlooked by the wonderful Bell Tower in the heart of Bruges, ideal for access to all historic sites of interest as well as 2 minutes walk from the main shopping streets. It is an 18th Century Hotel, with some pleasant Art-Nouveau elements added in the last century; Hotel VAN EYCK has eight rooms (16 beds) at its disposal. There are single, double, triple and quadruple rooms available.

Getting there:Hotel Van Eyck is served by all local bus services to the centre of town, which arrive 2 minutes walk away at the Market Square (ask for the 'Markt' on the bus) The bus service runs regularly from the train station and takes about 5 minutes. Tickets cost 1.50 euro or you can get them slightly cheaper if you buy them from the ticket office before you board the bus. There is also a taxi rank at the train station, and taxis cost around 6-7 euros to the Hotel door;

Car parking:The nearest guarded parking called "Zelverpand" is situated 300m from the hotel. The rate is 8,5 Euros per 24Hours Another possibility is the guarded car park at the station and there it's only 2,5 Euros per 24h and with your parking ticket you can come for free at the Market Square (nearest stps) and from there it's only 2 min walk to the hotel.

This hotel is a MUST if you are planning on visting beautiful Brugge! It's a gorgeous hotel, so close to Markt and with the most lovely lady running the hotel! The breakfast was buy far the BEST that I had in my 6 weeks in Europe and it really made my trip so much more pleasant! Highly recommend :-)
very helpful owner the hotel is very noisy - you hear the staircase every time some one uses it. There were mosquitoes in October...

Loved the Van Eyck! Incredibly friendly family-run place, the building itself is quite charming, squeaky floors nonetheless. Great location just a few minutes´ from the central square, and a terrific all around value. I would recommend it to one and all - and I´ll be back myself!
The location of the hotel should be properly mentioned - in their over-enthusiasm they mentioned the hotel over looking bell-tower. I have to search a lot around the tower- most of the people are tourists - even locals cannot help. So a proper direction is needed. Another matter is their breakfast time - it starts at 8-30 AM (it should start at least one hour earlier)- not good for early risers - as nothing is available around even at 8 AM - so either the hotel should have a tea/coffee making facilities in the room or a vending machine.
The location of the hotel is great - cannot complain about that. And the owners were also friendly. Room was on the small side (and we were lucky enough to get an actual bathroom). However, it was a mixed blessing as there was an awful sewerage type smell that emanated from the bathroom (maybe because of the age of the building), the taps on the basin leaked and there was nothing more than a trickle (no exaggeration) from the showerhead. Breakfast was plain and simple - cold meats and cheeses, juice, breads and cereals.
