"This is a very well run and friendly resort . The standard of cleaning was excellent and the friendliness of all staff impeccable . Nothing was too much trouble with the staff , the resort is family run and personal and even down to booking the early morning trip to the airport , all went like clockwork .

"This is a delightful, welcoming resort hotel. It is family owned, and professionally run. We always had a smile from the staff. We were very happy with our bungalow, and a few minor queries were quickly attended to by the management. Our accomodation was quite spacious, with a separate kitchen area, and a separate shower room. Each bungalow is set in mature gardens. It was an absolute pleasure to have breakfast in the little tower by the pool, looking out over the coastline. We didn't immediately discover the shortcut down the steps to Lamai. The Varinda Resort is on a hill, which is great for a location, unless you're grossly unfit. The management team at reception and in the restaurant are superb, they are so genuinely kind and helpful. We stayed for 5 nights whilst attending a wedding at the nearby Rocky's resort, and were delighted with our choice. A great place to chill out, yet close enough to the activity in Lamai if that's what you want. " - Jim Bruce
