Vastberga Hotel Hagersten

Vestberga Hotel is located in an industrial-office district of South Stockholm, but close to Stockholm's Fairgrounds, so it would be very popular with several people attending the latter. I was taken aback by the almost complete lack of knowledge by the staff of ways to get to the Massan (Fairgrounds), which turned out to be very easy (bus 143 that passes by Vesberga Alle, stop Karusselplan, 200 m from the Hotel!). I should also say that I was taken aback that this relative lack of knowledge also existed among the professional staff at the Fairgrounds!! A simple map at the hotel showing bus routes etc would do wonders! In other respects the hotel was decent, but inadequate. Clean, and with a nice breakfast, but too small curtains to provide for privacy with a good internect connection but a telephone way off at the window! Instead of a chair there was a small stool, but a chair was provided when I asked for one.

Hotel located in the middle of industrial district. Not enough parking spaces. Close to the subway station, though.

Good value for the money. The hotel is not far from centrum, even if the area is industrial. One can travel to anywhere in Stockholm in an hour, using a bus and train.

Pleasant hotel with perfect service. Good accessability to public transport (buses, trams and commuter trains).

The Hotel was in industry zone. OUR room was on the floor,where was in process reconstuction of the bathroom.It was dusty and noisy. People at a hotel apologize for that. Breakfast was excellent.

It is far away from city-center, you need to plan the day when you go to the city.The taxidrivers do not now where to go for the hotel.

This hotel is a budget hotel and the standard is the expected with concern to the price per room.

Very good hotel, staff are very freindly and easy to talk to. Location is pretty good, your only 10 min underground trip away from stockholm centre. Very good pizza place by the entrance to the subway for great cheap meals. All in all very good hotel, and would recommended it to anybody.

For the price this Hotel is a very good choice. The location is not attractive but the bus stop is not far away and one can easily get to any meeting, anywhere in Stockholm in time. I will go there again.

We recently visited Stockholm (7/31/05). We arrived early at 9:30 am. We had booked a quad, no problem, we were not only offered to stow bags, but were offered 2 twin rooms. We were elated. Took showers and then off to see sights. The staff were friendly and helpful. Great breakfast. The subway is a bit of a walk, but the savings won over our family. Good value for the price.

We stayed there for one night - and I would recommend it to anyone who wants to explore the city of Stockholm - it's not in the city centre - public transportation is necessary (5 mins) but worth it if you really want to see the city at its best. The rooms were more than adequate, the food was excellent and the staff very cordial.

The staff were FIRST CLASS - their assistance during our stay was very appreciated.

Weekend breakfast started at 7:30, but I had to leave @ 7:30, so they started breakfast @ 7AM for me. Very accomodating. only complaint: Bathroom was down hall.
